Default Margarito wrecked Cintron and suspicions of Steward were confirmed

I wanted Kermit to win, so I was wincing every round of that fight cause Tony didn't stop battering him for a second.

Yet again we see Steward in the corner being completely ineffective because none of his fighters feel comfortable with him or confident in him.

Steward has got to get his act together as a trainer. His only winner Wlad is like a sedative. His 2nd coming Andy Lee got spanked. Jermain Taylor left him and then had one of his best fights right after (the controversial pavlik rematch).

I think he is being disrespectful to the fighters he trains by having so many of them. There is no way he can spread himself out that much and still be effective. He's just going to continue to get good fighters and make them lose or become boring. There are many better trainers out there, Steward is just a name until he concentrates more on actual training.

Valid points Cortez, but I don't care who the trainer is when someone with an elementary mentality goes into a fight with a quitters mind.

I see your point cortez, I think stewart wasted jermain taylors potential. J.T could of been a monster but that akwardness of having stewart imo somehow held him back.

I told you folks the Eman is bad luck. I would not want him any where near my corner.

Tony has a tough beard. I knew Tony was going to beat Cintron down again.

Yeah he's a bit of a curse at the moment, but don't the fighters pick the trainer?

Fighters make trainers, not the other way round. Those guys could have swapped trainers for this fight and the result would have been exactly the same. The lord god almighty could have been training Kermit and he still would have got his ass kicked.

Cintron looked like an amateur boxer who relies only on his power. Manny is still a great trainer he has just been working with fighters who dont have the right mental makeup lately.

Any of you actually see the fight? Manny Steward wasn't actually in Cintrons corner.

Why make comments when clearly you haven't seen the fight.

I think you've been playing too much Connect 4 Rob

I watched the fight twice and unless both the live stream and the version I downloaded from WBVA had Manny super imposed in the corner he was definitely there.

He was even telling Cintron that Margarito was tiring in the third round

Try watching it again and then pay attention to Cintron's corner in between rounds

I disagree with some of you. Manny may have been on Cintron's Corner and he may have been giving him instructions but they were just the wrong instructions. Cintron was listening it was just that Manny was giving bad advice.

Manny kept telling Cintron to move forward a keep shooting the right hand even though it was abundantly clear that Cintron was having much more success when he stayed outside and landed on Margarito as he came to him.

Steward is definitely on a bad roll right now. As I've said here before, I think Steward is a great heavyweight trainer, but he's somewhat overrated in the lower weight classes.

Most of what Steward was telling Cintron WAS to stay outside and box him. That was mainly what he telling him all night. Kermits just not a skilled boxer at all. Cintron just came undone like the first fight and fell apart. The one think Manny should have stressed more was for Cintron to stop bringing his head down.

I think a lot of you are being too hard on Manny. With the Jermain thing, I dont think that was entirely his fault because Jermain has been with the same trainer for so long, it was stupid of him to leave and try to change things up like that. With Kermit, he wasn't going to beat Margarito regardless of what advice Manny gave him. He didnt have the defense skills to outbox Margarito. He was trying to dance out of the way and he was still getting bombed.
