Thread: Anyone else think Johnson Won?

I had him winning by a round. He really came through in the latter rounds. Ive never seen Johnson as outspoken as he was tonight, but I guess you can only get the short end of a stick so many times before breaking.

I thought he won; but either way it sure wasn't a 4 round advantage for Dawson.

Yeah the scoring was surprising. 115-113 for Dawson would be the most that could be rationalized imo though I had it 115-113 Johnson.

Johnson landed the telling shots of the fight, took the second half of the fight strongly and a case can be made for him winning the majority of the rounds.

I'd say he deserved the decision.

I think johnson won by 1 round.

I knew the judges would give it to dawson though. Hes the champ and the unbeaten fighter, he was a home favourite aswell.

But the crowd summed it up perfectly with the immense amout of booing and jeering towards dawson's totally negative style and when he won the decission the whole audience was booing at him.

Shocking deccission, infact it seemed v suspicious!

Congrats to tarver for comprehensively beating the work horse woods, tarver was too class for him. I think tarver will quite easily beat dawson in a match up.

To be honest all of this proves 1 thing, that hopkins is the best light heavy out there atm!

Hopkins really took cae of tarver, he smothered tarvers style, would easily smother dawson in my opinion. Looks like the fight with calzaghe is gonna be a quality fight, a real battle of skill and tactics!!!

Even though dawson got the decission, theres no way he won that fight! IM GONNA GO AND SAY IT NOW, DAWSON HAS A POOR CHIN!

A fighter with a bit more stamina and speed than johnson will smash dawson silly. Dawson's chin is weak and he doesnt have much power.

Id say that tarver, woods and johnson all have more power than dawson. Hopkins definitely has more power. If calzaghe's power carries upto light heavyweight (and from what ive seen in his training videos he looks pretty damn powerful, no slaps at all) then id love to see a dawson vs calzaghe match up because i think calzaghe will school the guy.

Dawson has been hyped up a lot. He is supposed to be the next best thinbg at light heavy, NO CHANCE!

I was watching on setanta sport in the uk and steve bunce said it just right, theres no way dawson is the next best thing. Infact, put him up against a real quality fighter and the same will happen to him as it did with lacy.

doesn't everyone by now know he is a fucking journeyman lol? a journeyman doesn't win fights, they are put in there to put on a show and not win, simple as that. Johnson is a seconed rate fighter period. He is a journeyman for premature champions such as dawson, he aint ever gunna win big because 1 he is seconed rate, and 2 he aint put in there to win.

Johnson might be a journeyman but he shouldve beaten dawson. If anything, what your saying is basically putting dawson down. If dawsons chin was totalyl rocked and got out muscled and couldnt land clean against a journeyman...what does that say about dawson?

damn right i'm putting dawson down, i got into the dawson hype too, i thought he was going to be the futre of LHW and do great things, but he aint gunna do shit.

I had it for Johnson but not a robbery that Dawson got the decision. Scores were predictably silly.
