Default Van Damme's "BLOODSPORTS Vs KICKBOXER"

Hi U.K boxing fans!I just thought i 'd make up a genuine banter Thread on which one of these Van Damme's classic films "BLOODSPORTS or KICKBOXER" you think is the best one and why?

I personally think BLOODSPORTS was the best one out of them both, just by a small margin though.I think the fight scenes are great. There's more fighting styles involved in the film and it's based on a fact-based story too.Bolo was the favourate ideal bad guy!I remember being a fan of Van Damme films when i was younger.I used to watch them on the week end with a big bag of popcorn and a large coke when i was about 10year old......Ah there where the days!I watched BLOODSPORTS a couple of months ago on t.v and it brought all of those great memorys back.

    "OK U.S.A!"

At last i've had a reply on the subject,THANKS!
BLOODSPORT was the film were Van Damme played the fact based U.S.A fighter character "FRANK DEUX"who took part in the ancient fighting tournament called the"KUMATIA"(Might have spell it wrong)were every fighting style competitor fight it out through to the final.Anything goes in the fights...even death in some cases!Frank Duex eventually won the tournament and even holds a three world records..."The quickest K.O"(3seconds),Fastest kick at 70+mph and a record of something of 370 undefeated fights. In the film staring Van Damme he fights the really life legend "BOLO" who stared along side Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon".Really good film BLOODSPORTS!WATCH IT MATE!!

I have watched blood sports, his brother dies and he tries to gain vengeance. Was it really Bollo from the Bruce Lee film, because he had not aged one bit. That film was good.

Your about "KICKBOXER"there my mate. His brother get put in a wheelchair by the real Kickboxer called TOMMY PO!He was the one with the big false tatoo down his arm from his chest.
"BLOODSPORTS" was the better out the two i thought.Yes Bolo plays the bady at the end against Van Damme.Bolo cheats by temporary blinding Van Damme with some kind of special powder hidden in his waist of his trousers!Van Damme has to regroup his ancient skills and fight Bolo blinded.
Please watch it again if you can.I think its the best Van Damme film!

Alright they mate!If you have the chance to watch them again,do so mate!I feel that "KICKBOXER"was on the side of being a little too cheesey.Especially when his mate,"The ex Vietmarm soilder"came in near the end of the film with all of his guns and granades and that. The fight scenes at the end against Tommy PO are good though. The fact that "BLOODSPORTS"was kind of based on a real character and tournament with no cheesey bits, makes it for me.

    "I'LL BREAK YOU,LIKE I BREAK YOUR FRIEND!"(Bolo's words,not my)LOL.CHEERS MATE!

    Wasn't it Tong Po?

Anyway, Kickboxer was freakin the most insane movie of my childhood.. Along with Predator, Ghostbusters 1 & the Star wars's...

    Bloodsport wasn't to bad though..

There was another cool kickboxing movie where Van Damme plays the bag guy... The good guy is trained by halucinations of Bruce Lee coming back from the dead.. Can't recall the name of it..

Kickboxer is still number 1 though

Alright they mate.Come to think about it,it was Tong Po.Not Tommy Po!Thanks for correcting me with your good knowledge my friend.I remember the film your on about were Van Damme plays a bad guy. It's called "BLACK EAGLE".I remember watching that too when i was a younger.Mind you going back to the film "KICKBOXER"....I only relized that Tong Po's tatoo is false. In one part of the film in the final fight scene the tatoo changes from arm to arm.

Alright they mate.Yeah come to think about it his name was Tong Po,Not "Tommy Po" that i mentioned earlier on the Thread. Thanks for correcting me on the subject with your knowledge friend. The film you mentioned were Van Damme plays the bad guy is called "BLACK EAGLE".I remember watching that too when i was younger.Going back to the "KICKBOXER" film though.I only just relized a couple of years ago that the tatoo Tong Po has is false. If you watch the end fight with Van Damme u'll notice that the tatoo changes from one arm to the other. You'll have to have a close eye though because its only shown for a second or soo.WATCH IT AGAIN AND U'LL FIND IT!Cheers mate!

I like bloodsport more, yeah Frank is a real person, and probably does have a fighting background, but his record is a work of fiction.

Unbelievable really, the guy was pushing 50 by Bloodsport. The actor was more of a body builder than a serious fighter though.
