    Default Question

When slipping punches, do you try and predict which punch is coming and slip hoping you did right, or do you wait until you actually see the punch coming, then slip (which I think is impossible unless you're fighting a fat person).

Both- you can start to read your opponent and you can react, all comes from experience.

Yes look for your opponents bodylanguage and position and how high their hands are held - that will help you determine where they may possibly hit you and be more ready to slip/duck/block

I usually try to coax my opponent into hitting me by seeming open but being just out of range so I could slip and counter too

look for trends in their fighting style. a consistent jabber will normally go for ... thats right another jab.
look at their body language and their eyes. if your amatuer often fighters will look where they are gonna hit, which i find hilarious.
generally it takes longer to punch to the body, but you should be slipping them anywho.
