Franklin came out of it sounding like a tool.
GSP looked dominant. |

Punch Power: 16 | | Re: Thoughts on UFC83?! Frankilin pulled off one of the sickest armbar escapes i've seen. Excellent how he rolled out of it. Lutter, wtf happened to him? He just gases so badly.
Ed Herman got put to sleep. Maia's JJ is pretty damn good. I think Herman needs to work on triangle defence because that is a couple of times he has been caught in them now.
Bisping looked explosive, athletic, ripped and fast at 185. Not quite sure if his punches carry the same power but he looked so much more explosive at this weight. Not entirely sure what McCarthys strategy was but the unanswered knees were phenomenal. I think this might be bispings weight.
GSP vs Serra...as we knew it would be. Total domination for GSP, guy has to be the most rounded, explosive and athletic fighter in MMA today. Serra is a tough guy but didn't have the tools to do a job on GSP.
Highlight for the wrong reasons was Kalib Starnes running for the entire 15 mins from Nate quarry. Absolutely disgusting. What the fuck was wrong with starnes. Quarry doing 'the running man' was comical.
I think Starnes has just run himself out of the UFC |

this actually leads me to soemthing I've felt for a long time.....
the octagon is too big. 30' wide allows fighters to disengage. they should cut it down to about 24 and see what happens. it's a lot harder to run and hide when a guy can cut off the ring. at 30', there's no way to do that in the ufc.

Punch Power: 7 | | Re: Thoughts on UFC83?! GSP seems huge at WW,i'd like 2 see him move up,the size diffrence between Serra and GSP!! There does'nt seem 2 b any out and out Strikers in the WW div.Ive got my doubts about GSP chin i'd like 2 see how he'd cope with a WW Cro Cop/Wand but there just is'nt any about, its full of wrestlers who a bigger more athletic GSP can have his way with.I want 2 believe in Bisping, but ive allways thought 4 a striker he's very sloppy.Dont think he's been in there with a Striker in the UFC yet, starting 2 wonder if he's being protected. He looks a lot more settled and relaxed though, hope he proves me wrong. |

My favourite fight of the night was Mac Danzig's win. He's one of my favourite fighters and that was a sick fight. |

Punch Power: 1580 | | Re: Thoughts on UFC83?! imo if gsp hadn't had two bad nights he would be undefeated and dominant like fedor. he showed that first fight with sera was a fluke just like the first with hughes.
btw that armbar escape from rich was sick, gotta appreciate skills like that.
