Personally i can't see the point.Roy is done.

But i bet theres more than 10 million reasons for Joe to take it.And why shouldn't he? He has done everything that has been asked of him.

Plus I wouldn't mind seing RJJ in the flesh lol.Be another great night in cardiff.

I think Jones can still win even at this stage of his career had this fight happened a few year back say before he fought Ruiz he would have destroyed Calzaghe.

I really have no desire to see this fight. That said, I didn't have any interest in Hopkins/Calzaghe either at 1st, but was really anticipating it the closer it got.

But with Jones, you know you are watching someone who is a shell of his former self; and even Joe has to know if he wins, he didn't beat a guy anywhere near his prime.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Calzaghe/Taylor fight. They both beat Hopkins{controversially}, and I think it could be a good scrap.

A while back after Joe beat Kessler i remember Roy Jones Jr saying
" Its Joe Calzaghe that needs me, i don't need him"

It was quite funny at the time but now even more so.

I think it should go ahead. Joe has beaten everyone at Super middle.

So unless a middle weight goes up to super middle he should.

I say turn USA back into Indian country. Roy Jones Junior's scalp on Joes record would be awesome.

It should be a good one. I think Jones would hurt Calzaghe more than Hopkins did. Another close decision.

It kinda bothered me when Joe said "maybe I'll become the legend killer" anyone remember the last guy that said that? That's right Mr. Antonio Tarver.

As for Calzaghe vs. Jones why not? I think it would be an interesting fight at this stage of their careers, I would still pick Jones over Calzaghe, why? Because getting Joe off balance was how Bernard was most effective, Jones is just as good if not better than Hopkins at that, plus his output will be much higher. I'm certainly not thinking this would be a blowout and Calzaghe definately has the skills to take this. I'm just stating my opinion
    Jones by UD.

On the other hand Pavlik vs. Calzaghe interests me much more.

The guys in the office and I agreed today that if this fight goes ahead we are gonna go and see it. 2 boxing legends in the flesh infront of 50,000 screaming fans . It'll be a great night.

tinso6 - I adisagree with you there. I think Jones still has summat left and it could be enough to take him all the way with Joe. Not enough to win but enough to go 12 .

It won't be on November the fifteenth because Wales are playing Canada at the Millenium Stadium, but it's definitely going to happen. Jones got badly KO'd then outpointed by Tarver four years ago and Tarver then lost to Hopkins. No way Jones has enough left to win but he'll stay on his feet for twelve rounds and make an exciting fight. Can't see any TV company stumping up for a return fight though.
