Undefeated #9 WBA Heavyweight, Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson, 19-0-1 (6), stepped up his game on Friday night, scoring a unanimous 10 round decision, 97-93 (twice) and 96-94, over a very game and tough Terry Smith, 30-5-1 (1, telecast live on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights, from the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma.

I wish ESPN could have aired Robinson's fight, I saw his amateur fight with Rayonta Whitfield in which he performed fairly admirably as well as one other fight he had as a pro. Very rangy guy with long arms, similar build to Paul Williams but at a lower weight. Been looking for another chance to see him, hopefully CES gets him on TV sometime soon.

Johnson has talent but reminds me of a young, much less accomplished heavyweight James Toney. Soft around the stomach, very much defensive and only throws one shot at a time.
