With all the talk of rappers on the boards I forgot to mention this guy.
I was listening to a couple of his songs while I was out running this morning.
How big is this guy in the US?

Who? Mike Jones?
i ain't heard his name mentioned for a while now, he was one of them swishahouse texas rappers. Paul Wall and Camelionare made people forget who mike jones was though
Yeah Chamillionaire is pretty big over here at the moment.
Was just listening to a couple of his ongs, the beats were kinda nice.

you should listen to papoose, he pretty good too.
Chamilionare looks and kinda sound like 50cent, we call him quarter a.k.a baby50
Papoose is New York right?
I listened to some of his stuff with Jay and on the Touch it remix with Busta. Loved DMX's spot in that.
Chamillionaire really did well here with grown n Sexy and Ridin Dirty, but I dunno if he'll last here.
Luda was a big favourite of mine for a while and he's creepin up my list again.

I mentioned papoose cause he kinda raps like chamillionare, only a hand ful agrees with me on that though. anyways where are you living, imo rap here isn't as great anymore. we mostly get club music now and so called gangsters singing love songs to girls Imo I rather listen to up and comer rappers cause they still hungry unlike these spoil rappers they slowly mumble the same old words to rhyme and put that shyt out like that midget so called "king of the south" clown.
another guy you can try listening to is plies, he ok imo.
Chamillionaire > 50 Cent
In fact, Chamillionaire is almost from the backpack mold of Mos Def and Talib. 98% of America had Ridin Dirty as their ring tone. How many people could make a song about racial profiling so popular? He's one of the better crossover acts ever really. He's a huge commercial success and he is deep at the same time. Plus, Victory a few years ago was viscous.
Joe Budden is the best guy in mixtapes imo. Papoose is one dimensional for one, needs to slow down sometimes. Beast From The East gave me a headache because he rapped at 100 MPH the entire album and he has energy and skills but needs to change the delivery up once in a while.
Yeah I like Chamillionaire. 8I'll listen out for more of Papoose. I've got one friend who listens to him a lot.
I'm from Irel;and Julius so rap is a minority, I have tomsearch to find young rappers.
I dunno Amat, if you listen to the available versions of "power of a dollar" you can really see 50's worth.

Power of the Dollar was decent, I think Get RIch or Die Tryin was better. His best work is on mixtapes though and the G Unit Radio mixtapes but he's overrated by so many.
Banks is far better imo and I'm not even a huge Banks fan.
I agree fifty is overrated and as a result he gets away with bringing out sub par music. Kanye kinda socked it to him for that.
I also agree Banks is better, but fitting in with the niche he limits his potential. He can rap anything yet get's stuck rapping about money and women

I think I mentioned this a while back but as of late theirs been BUT a few rappers/hiphop acts I like.
My ride ended when Eminen last released The Marshall Mathers LP.
From the newer school I like:
Luda
Joe Budden
Little John
