Default Daniel Santos " Hungry of championship "...!!!

The Ex-Champ Daniel Santos said that has hungry in reappear for fight for the World Title after 4 Years of Skin Cows ( No big Money ).......
But after that now he will go to training 2 months in the Albergue Olympics in P.R. .........

Santos , who won the Bronze Medal of the Olympics Games of Atlanta in 1996 , now will face with actual Champion of 154 pnd Juachim Alcine and who said that will going to get the strap of 154 pnd......

Yesterday in a Conference announced the Date for the fight that will be in Jul / 5 / 08 , in Montreal Canada in where live now the Haitian Juachim Alcine and who have the undefeated record of 30-0-19 KO.......

Daniel Santos in 1999 fought with the Sovietic Ahmed Kotiev and won with a doubtful victory by UD and in 2000 they had a rematch and Santos won the Championship by KO in the 5th round........

After of successful defenses , in 2002 he faced to the Mexican Luis Ramon " Yori Boy " Campas for the vacant Title of 154 pnd version of WBO and won by TKO for conquest his second World Title......

Although in 2004 , he had another successful defense in this Div.. with a victory over the Mexican Antonio Margarito , but one year after Santos lost his World Title with the Ucranian Sergiy Dzinziruk ......
Since then , he just made 2 additional fight including the past October (2007) , when in a eliminators fight won by TKO to Jose Rivera for put his record on 31-3-22 KO and open himself the door for the next World Title fight..........

He commented; " I'm feel very happy and optimist , because now i have a Date for my next fight "........
" I have the attitude to win again , im dispose to sacrifice everything for bring the World Title again to P.R. ".................

I wish a Good Luck to Daniel Santos ...............

That is his claim to fame - do not know how he beat Marg, against Sergiy Dzinziruk he was poor.

How was the fight going, was Marg winning or was it too early or close to call?

I actually think Tony might have been on his way to stopping Santos when They stopped it from the Headbutt cut.Margarito was at Jr.Middle here,Whoops.Santos was strong but was there to "get got" down the stretch Imo.In the 1st Margarito switched to southpaw and buzzed Santos then Santos landed big on Tony's temple and stunned Tony,The most Ive seen him hurt in years.Margarito pressed it in 2nd and as is one of his chinks in the armor...missed a big uppercut and Santos landed a huge right but Tony walked through it.Santos boxed pretty well, countered effective but Tony started getting in shots in the 4th,Santos was complaining alot to the ref.I think it was the 4th where Tony landed hard to body with Santos on ropes and Santos went down.....I believe it was a missed call on the refs part,No KD.The 5th...Tony switched to southpaw again and really was putting it on,Landed a huge right hand that stunned Santos and was working him on the ropes well and Margarito was smiling. They butted heads in the 7th,And I believe Santos was cut.Margarito was coming forward ,I gave the 7,8 to him and The 9th to Santos....round was scored as partial round ??Gotta rewatch

I think Mararito would have gone on to beat Santos in their second fight but it was at 154 which Margarito really shouldnt have been at. The first time they fought was a NC in the first round cause of accidental headbutt i believe. That fight was at welterweight.

You know I never realised they fought twice, that would be a good fight after Marg loses to Cotto and nobody will want to fight him at Welter

If Santos fights Margarito now he will get KO.

Margo has more power now than when they fought.
And the second fight I had Margo winin and the cuts where all head buts since Santos is a lefty their heads clash everytime

I really like Santos but he is to inactive for my liking... he looked stella against Rivera but has done nothing since to build on that momentum. Its a 50/50 fight with Alcine IMO, Alcine is very disciplined & reasonably active but Santos at 100% wins hands down IMO but due to the inactivity I have my doubts...
