What If Bowe And Lewis Met As Professionals In The Ring? Twice!

Lewis would have won both, and all fights against Bowe. Bowe was intimidated, and would have never fought Lewis, just like he did. So, "what if", is that Lewis would have won, and Bowe knows, therefore, no fight ever happened. Have to be a diehard Bowe fan to think he had a chance.

im actually a massive Lewis fan. in my opinion I feel that Lewis was still a good few years away from his prime and the Bowe of 92 was at his peak. any other time apart from 92/93 I would have picked Lewis to win. I just feel that Lewis was not the perfect fighter yet in 1993. In reality the defences against Tucker and Bruno were not impressive

Lennox got inside Bowe's head and Riddick would rather have fought Holyfield and Tyson on conseutive nights than fight Lewis... okay that's maybe an exageration but you get the point.

Bowe ducked Lewis because he felt that Lewis would beat him. If you take that kind of attitude into the ring there can only be one outcome.

Both would have started trying to build behind the jab early. Lewis would be as focussed as he had been for Ruddock. He would not have been as sloppy as we saw when in the real time line he fought Bruno. Bowe would have some success with the uppercuts inside that would unsettle Lewis for a sort time. At some point though after an exchange Lewis fires over the big right and wobbles Bowe. Fight over as Lennox clynical as ever when an opponent is hurt finishes off Bowe in a corner taking punches as the ref jumps in.

The two would never meet again as Bowe's fragile mental state can not cope with a loss in the pros to the man he hated from the amateurs. The meltdown we saw later in Bowe's life begins early with the same results. Not a happy ending.

100% my feelings too and thereofre in 92 I would've leaned towards Bowe.

IMHO prime Bowe was a better fighter than any version of Lewis, but regardless of when they fought if Bowe didn't believe he could beat Lennox then he wouldn't have. Much like Tyson, Bowe's biggest problems were mental and emotional.

The sloppy Lewis that was getting out jabbed and wobbled by Bruno would get stopped brutally, the Lewis that done a paint job on Morrison would out jab Bowe and win a decision after some scary moments for Lewis.
