Dan Rafael : (12:04 PM ET ) There's a good chance Judah will wind up on HBO on Aug 2 facing Josh Clottey for the title Margarito will vacate in the coming days.


Greg(Los Angeles): How closeis that Clottey-Judah fight to being a done deal?

Great News Diane , i hope that Judah dont f*** his other arm , i think is a great match up , i think Judah could dominate.............

No way Judah dominates Clottey, Clottey is a solid fighter and underrated by a lot of people. He is a very good all rounder and he has solid chin and keeps the pressure on, i think he stops Judah in 10.

One question to those people who think Judah will win, remind me how many good pressure fighters Judah has beat ??

Wow. Clottey at last gets his chance. I think he needs to beat Judah otherwise I can not see he getting another shot for years, He will become an avoided fighter again.

I can see Judah winning the early rounds and if he is focused doing enough to win on points. However I see this one being a quick start for Judah then Clottey dominating the second half of the fight to pull out a close UD.

With Antonio Margarito poised to vacate his slice of the welterweight title in favor of a big-money July 26 fight against titleholder Miguel Cotto, Margarito's mandatory challenger, Joshua Clottey, will fight for the vacant belt. HBO plans to televise the Aug. 2 bout on a Top Rank-promoted "Boxing After Dark" card. Top Rank's Bob Arum told ESPN.com that former titleholders Zab Judah and Luis Collazo top the list of Clottey's potential opponents. They are both among the IBF's leading available contenders. Judah is recovering from an arm injury that forced cancellation of his May 31 fight with Shane Mosley, but he'll be fine by August. His representatives have already been in touch with Top Rank and are interested in the fight. Collazo adviser/trainer Nirmal Lorick told ESPN.com they're also interested. "If the money is right, we're in," Lorick said. "Put Clottey and Luis together, you get a great fight. They're the spoilers that nobody wants to fight."

Wow JT you SEEM to be so Excite my friend , well in my opinion Judah have all tools for dominate , he is more faster , technicals combinations , hit more hard etc.......dont misunderstand me bro....im not take off credit to Clotey i know that he made a good and competitive fight to Margaro and is a strongest boxer too , but if Judah improve his bad STAMINA i know that he could dominate Clotey , Judah since Tzeu fight , he had bad luck , i hopes that fight comes!!!!!!

And who knows , when Cotto win the fight with Margaro , probably Clotey will be the next in December...............
