If I remember correctly, he was seen as a rather liberal Sen., but the fact that he seems to be well respected by even the most right-wing politicians speaks to his character. He strikes me as the type of politician who always did what he thought was best, regardless of what was popular or of the prevailing notions at the time. |

Whether or not you like him he always did what he thought was the right thing, especially for the poor and middle class working people. I respect him for what he has done during his senate career. May God bless him and his family.

Punch Power: 978 | | Re: Kennedy I wouldn't say he didn't care about party, he's pretty much an admitted partisan warrior type. I still think he was a good Senator, partly cause I'm a Democrat, I'm sure a lot of people don't.
Nevertheless, that doesn't really matter at all now, just hope things work out as smoothly as possible for him, cause apparently its more of a when than if type of thing. Cancer just gives me the chills more than anything, I guess cause there's been so much of it around my family. | |
