Why not?? I think it would be a good fight.. Calzaghe needs some fight some good American champs to cement himself... I think it would also be a great great fight for Pavlik to win..

    From the article :
"Arum said a bout, if it were made, would be held at 168 pounds. That would give Pavlik the opportunity to hold the middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight titles simultaneously, becoming the only fighter other than Hall of Famer Henry Armstrong to do so. Armstrong, who is widely regarded as one of the four greatest fighters in boxing history, held the featherweight, lightweight and welterweight titles simultaneously in 1937.
No one has done it since"

I think if Calzaghe can get Pavlik hurt, then he may be to strong for him... But Calzaghe hasn't really shown that power lately, and Pavlik's to strong on defence to get caught with to many stupid shots...

    Great fight... Make it happen...

Boxing fans are there to be spoilt..

Off the topic for a second,,, but it also mentions that the "Countdown" shows & "24/7" which lead up to fights are actually paid for/funded by the promoters... No cost to the network... I didn't know that at all.. I figured it was the network hyping up particular bouts to raise interest for PPV's....
    Interesting stuff...

This would be an awesome fight that while pretty evenly matched I think calzaghe might be able to box kelly for 12 rounds and win but he'd probably find himself on the floor at some point during the fight. Then again though calzaghe likes to showboat and against kelly I think that might be an extremely stupid idea, even more so then it usually is cause he never stops comming nor does he stop throwing, shit I can't really make my mind up except slighlty favor calzaghe.

I think this is a good one for Pavlik. He would give Calzaghe fits. The slapping and the show boating would be stupid. They say Kelly is predictable and easy to figure. Well why havent figured it out yet. They cant and no one can yet. They say he is mechanical looking. Great so is a frieght train. But I would not want to be on the tracks with it. Calzaghe is not fast as everyone says. He looked slow agist Hopkins. Hopkins hurt him many times that night and Calfage could only try to mount him from the rar after a low blow. Pavlik has twice the power , the same chin and throws twice the amount of punches if not three times than Hopkins. Not only that he fights with more heart than anyone Joe C has ever faced. I just dont see Joe dominating the undominatable.
