    Default Mosley/Mora OFF; Mosley/Mayorga ON

ESPN.com just posted that Shane Mosley's fight with Sergio Mora fell through and Shane will now be taking on Ricardo Mayora at Junior Middleweight.

I don't know how I feel about this fight...

Anyone excited about this? I would've much rather seen Shane fight Mora.

I am always excited to watch Shane. I am always excited to watch Mayorga.

It is a worthless fight in the big scheme of things, but I would not miss it for the world.

I had no idea Mosley/Mora was even being discussed.

I guess this means the Pavlik/Mayorga rumors amounted to not a whole lot.

I have to wonder how long Mosley's planning on going on. Is he trying to work his way to a title at 147? Without Floyd there's not a huge fight there except for maybe Cotto. A Cotto rematch wouldn't be bad but I didn't think the decision was that controversial and I don't see the fight going another way in a rematch.

As an entertainment action fight it would be nice,Sounds like Mosley is determined to fit in at 154 lbs.?.Better for Mayorga than getting crushed in a Pavlik Fight but how much does it really do for a still marketable & respected threat at Welter in Mosley?

Maybe Shane is trying to stay active while fighting a somewhat popular name...

I liked Mayorga. He thinks with his cajones first, his fists second and his head last and once upon a time he managed to make it to the top that way. That cannot be said about many boxers.

I dont want to see a Mayorga-Mosley fight. I'm a fan of both.

But Mosley's willingness to fight would make this an interesting one. Both guys have had taken their share of punishment in the past and I dont want to see either of them take what the other can give out. Mosley could easily take this by fighting smart but he will probably make it interesting by fighting Mayorga's fight at times.

Would have rather seen Mosley-Mora or Mayorga-Mora. Either guy would tear Mora a new one. But I havent watched Mora-Forrest. So maybe Mora would do better then I would expect. Especially with Mayorga.

I wish Mosley could have secured a better fight for his legacy. It isn't his fault, it's just the circumstances. I'm not excited about this fight, but I bet Mosley has no other option.

I want to see Shane get a Title fast.

Boxing politics have never favored Shane and I hope he hasn't just missed his final shot.

that would have been a great fight for BOTH men to end their careers come Dec 6th, it would be almost poetic, but well the judges made sure of ruining those plans by robbing DLH in the rematch, a fight he clearly won, and they also robbed us of another great 12 rounds, in what could very well be the last rounds of their hall of fame careers

Are you crazy? This is going to be Shanes first KO win at junior middle. Mayorga is far too outclassed to beat Shane. He is going to look sloppy and slow and all his power will mean nothing to a faster fighter with an IRON chin in Mosley.
    Oops
