Default Could Andrade Defeat Abraham ??

I was just replying in the Miranda thread and this fight popped into my head. And i just thought about this and i actually give Andrade a good chance in this fight. Andrade is strong and has a better chin than Miranda and could force Miranda onto the back foot where Miranda is at his weakest, because he can't seem to get his feet planted or get his shoulder into the shots and when he fought Pavlik if you notice when he was on the back foot a lot of his punches were quite sloppy and there was a lot of arm punching. Miranda is better than Andrade but i just think this could be a bad style match up for Miranda whats your thoughts ??

I agree with everything except Miranda being better than Andrade. He well may be, but I wouldn't say it's a definite, they have entirely different strengths. Andrade is tough as nails and imo actually has an underrated defence(since most people consider it non existant) in that he rolls with punches pretty well and always has something coming back even if he gets hit flush. I still really have no idea how Miranda will hold up against the better SMW's, the only guy he's fought who would be as strong(although stronger) than Andrade was Pavlik, who whipped his ass. I think people exagerate how close that fight was, or how well Miranda did.. He was basically rendered useless by being forced backwards, only able to connect with arm punches that didn't carry close to his signature snap. I really won't be sure how this fight, or many others would go for Miranda until I see some evidence that he is going to be able to mount some effective offence while being forced backwards. I think there are several guys at 168 strong enough to push him back, Andrade being one of them.

Well said i understand what your saying i would say Miranda is better than Andrade although not by much like you said, but i do agree that both men have different strong points. Its funny you should bring up Andrade's defense i watched few of his fights few days ago and i noticed that he rolled with the punches, i was one of those people that thought Andrades defense is garbage but looking at some of his fights he does have a somewhat underrated defense, although saying that it still needs some work for certain. I agree with what your saying in regards to Pavlik vs Miranda i never really thought Miranda landed that jackpot punch if you know what i mean ?? he used no technique getting no body weight, shoulders, or feet into his shots. Also like you said there was no snap or speed in his punches, which does generate power. Plus i only gave Miranda one round if i remember right, i know you may laugh at this but i think Bika could also be strong enough to force Miranda on the back foot, but he needs to improve on his punching technique, because if he throws those wide looping shots against Miranda, Miranda's straight shots right down the pipe will bust Bika up badly.

I do believe he would beat Miranda. Miranda doesn't like being pushed back and Andrade is constantly bulldogging people. I see a late ko. Miranda is going to get frustrated later and Andrade will put him down. I could see Librado tasting the canvas a few times, but you will need a baseball bat to put him out. I see Andrade as actually a similar version to Pavlik, just sloppier; not as clean working his way in, but effective due to his chin being made of some sort of iron by product Of course Miranda may be great at SMW, so we may see a monster in there, then maybe my opinion will change.

I think Andrade stops Miranda for the reasons above.

I would go with Andrade. For a lot of reasons I've mentioned in other posts about Miranda, primarily his inability to fight on the back foot. P4P's dead on about him not even getting his usual snap on his punches when he is forced back. I buy that more than the weight drain argument. And Andrade seems definitely sturdier. Would be fun to watch.

I like Andrade...I really do...but he's as wreckless as Miranda is defensively retarded.

Miranda is impressive for his power...& that's it. Sorry fans...but that's it.

I think that Andrade is a bit of a heart fighter instead of a head fighter & by that I mean quite simply that he never uses his head & always fights with his heart.

Miranda, to me, is the skull bully that fwocked with all the kids in the yard & then got his ass handed to him when he ran into the one youngin that had no fear of him.

No matter what anyone says...Miranda was competing at 160lbs & he knew what he was doing...he buckled under the pressure when his antics could'nt get him through the rounds with Pavlik.

What excuse was everyone using when he looked so pathetic against Green? Miranda looked shat pretty much all night against Green. He was even knocked down in 8th round, to his credit he came back & then Green was knocked down in the 10th...twice I think...or he took a knee or some shat...but he was downed twice...I'm almost sure of it.

Anywho...after that he was chomping at the bit for Taylor & he got his ass handed to him by Pavlik along the way...so then after some 30 odd fights...he's forgotten how to handle his middleweight?

Oh lordy...the hits just keep on coming!!!

    Whatever.

That being said...Miranda's lack of defense coupled with the gas pedal to the floor power plays aint gonna last him the duration of his career. He's gonna end up getting chumped again & how.

He needs to by pass Pavlik, defeat Abraham convincingly, & keep rebuilding his career.

Andrade would be an exciting fight...just an ugly one.

Would be a good fight but think Miranda would punch himself out of the rock of a head that Andrade has, Andrade would also frustrate the hell out of him, then probably stop him late. I know Miranda is a decent puncher and an exciting fighter but he has fallen short of world class. Will see how he does at Super Middleweight but I think the best guys will still beat him.
