Default Floyd calling out Mosley, Tzyu & Oscar

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZVQU...eature=related

To say FLoyd ducked anyone is hatred on his way up he did the calling out when he got to the top people (Cotto) should call him out the only guy i think has a legitimate claim is Margarito as he did call out Floyd.

First point fair enough...I think everyone main problem is he knows he the no1. He should be making the fights with the toughest people out threre to back up his claims of being "the best ever" .proove it.fight Cotto...everyones percived biggest threat to Floyd available.

Margarito started calling Floyd out when he had just gotten to junior welter. And the fact of it was, Floyd would have done all the heavy lifting, promotion wise, because nobody knew who Margarito was. By the time Floyd got to welter he was all about fights that made money.

And who the fuck knew who Baldomir was? I still don't know who the fuck Baldomir is.

I would have gave some credit to Floyd had he got in the ring with Tony Margarito. Anyway, who gives a shit about Floyd? Fuck him.

Ask zab judah, he`ll tell you

    floyd would beat margarito.

Would be a similar pattern to the hatton fight whereby PBF would spend the first quarter of the fight analysing his opponent and giving him a false sense of security before countering with deadly accuracy there on in and probably stopping him late on.

Only guy i genuinely ever see beating floyd is cotto and thats because he has the power and ability to fight both on the front and back foot to make floyd somewhat chase the fight......and he has never had to do that!!

Meh I don't buy the Margarito thing. Everyone dogged Floyd for turning down 8 mil to fight Marg, but how much did he end up making for the fight with ODLH? Much more. And for those who know their history, Floyd had been calling ODLH out since he was a lightweight, that was the fight he wanted for years.

The only three guys who I thought had a decent chance of beating Floyd were Hatton, Cotto and Paul Williams. Obviously Hatton's name is no longer there, and I think Quintana exposed some serious flaws in Paul's game, so really the only guy I think who has a good chance at Floyd is Cotto.

EVEN if Marg ends up beating Cotto, I still say Cotto is the man to dethrown Floyd because of his style. Stylistically, Marg would get outclassed by the much faster Floyd.

The RING knew who Baldomir was, he was the Lineal Welterweight champion, like it or not. I'm not saying Floyd shouldn't have gone on to fight others at welterweight, but fighting Balomacarena was the path to get his the Lineal WW champ.

I don't say he ducked any of these guys, unless you somehow count re-signing with HBO as a "duck" of Tszyu, a Showtime fighter. Mosley was the one talking about "dental work" (my boss wants to fight Floyd and I have to step aside) in 2006. The next year, Floyd simply chose to fight Hatton instead. THe fight had been in negotiations for a long time.

However, what I do not understand is why so many people make a big deal out of "calling out" fighters. It's means little. It's a child-like way to view things.

"Oh my god, he called so and so out. It must mean he wants to fight him and the other guy is ducking if he doesn't answer".

It matters little. It's the actions at the negotiating table that matter. Any fighter can say they want to fight someone else. Bigger names are always going to be "called out" because fighters want the money and exposure and big fights.

For a lot of the so-called "ducks" in boxing, it goes on behind closed doors and we usually don't know too much about what goes on with the contracts and who's fault it is that the night never materialized.

No one even talks about Floyd anymore, you were the one who brought the shit up, not me. I was going to tell you the same thing. So fucking what if Floyd had called out king kong, we all know that Cotto wanted to fight chimchims and not king kongs. Floyd ducked enough fighters, faught some lame ass turtles with belts who were shot/old over rated, just to get to ODLH. Everyone and their mother has been calling out ODLH, that aint nothing new. When ODLH is 80, people will still be calling him out. Floyd did the smart thing, and he was lucky along the way. I am glad he is not fighting ODLH again. I honestly do not want to see Floyd back in the ring, EVER! Unless of course it's against Margarito or Cotto.

I wasn't even referring to anything you said.

My point is Floyd used to call fighters out. To say Floyd ducked Cotto is stupid why does the weight fall solely on Floyd's shoulders to create this fight?

Well I think if Mayweather had tried to fight Cotto this year, that Cotto would've ended up fighting De La Hoya. Who would Arum rather have Cotto fight? De La Hoya is a bigger payday, bigger event, more exposure, probably a more winnable fight, and Arum is on better terms with Golden Snaggle Tooth Promotions than he is with Mayweather.

I just don't understand why people always talk all the time about "calling out" fighters, as if it is really important.

The negotiations is what matters, not what you say in an interview.

Then why did you even create this thread? You are the one who said: "Hey Look! Floyd called such and such out in his defense and then you end up saying that it don't matter. LMAO!

ODLH has said it once and he just said it again, his wife Millie VaNilli said he can not fight any more Puerto Ricans. He said this again in an interview the other day and he said he was going to stick to his word and keep his promise to his wife.

I didn't create this thread. I never said that.

Take a look at whom you're quoting and who started the thread.

With all due respect...calling out fighters after a fight doesn't mean he ACTIVELY sought them out. I for one have no idea what goes on behind the scene in the boxing world. But judging from Floyd's personality (wanting attention and $$$) and his track record for mostly picking less than stellar opponents for a good part of his career....this video doesn't mean jack to me. Floyd can SAY a lot of things...but WHY EXACTLY these fights didn't transpire is up for debate.
