Punch Power: 4576 | | Forearm trouble I'm having a strange sensation in my forearms each time I wake.
It feels like my forearms muscles (particualrly those running on the upward side of the forearm between elbo and half way up the forearm) are cramping up.
I get an intense and sometimes painful tingle on this muscle and its quite uncomfortable.
I thought perhaps it could be the resultant of punching harder or heavier bags

The pain was dulled last week by my swollen face, but when that came down I was feeling it. Very strange. |

Punch Power: 5277 | | Re: Forearm trouble +814 Donnie I was experiencing regular, almost daily calf and some times even in my hands cramping until I started a twice daily liquid multi vitamin. Cleared it right up. Also as TM speaks of, I up'd my regularly eating of bananas.
I have rarely done a workout without having a banana before it in a long time now. Not one single cramp.

I would also suggest you take the carpal tunnel test just to rule it out. It can be found here: Wrist Rollers
It could also be because one part of your forearm is stronger than another. If the flexors are a lot stronger than the extensors (or visa versa) it can cause problems. So using a wrist roller or some other form of training may help.

GL... | If you have access to the rollers, you should put it in to your lifting regiment anyway. One of the biggest problems with boxers is lack of physical balance. Chest like a wall, shoulders of granite, biceps of Adonis, forearms and calfs like a little girl |

I made my own wrist roller. I took a peice of PVC pipe and drilled a hole in it and put rope through it and it works perfect. I also do palm up/down wrist curls, leverage bar curls and twist, grippers (with a spring loaded gripper), etc. Bodybuilding.com - Forearms Articles! |

I like bananas pretty good myself. While I've never had cramps in the forearms before, a lot of times when I try to stretch my calves my hip will start cramping. Sometimes if I sit down it will cramp up and I will have to stand back up again.

You might need a straight potassium supplement, and I hate to say this, it might be an early onset of arthritis.
If Potassium and extra hydration doesnt do it for you, check with your doctor. Arthritis can be combated, but you have to catch it early. |

Also, I've been known to not drink quite enough fluid the way I should, so that too could have something to do with it. (I sure as hell hope so )!
Thanks for the warning. |
