    Default Headbutts

Well, obviously this is influenced by the Holt-Torres fight which was the most obvious incident of a headbutt influencing a fight I've ever seen.

This isn't about fights where there were a lot of headbutts, I was just thinking of fights where head butts may have played a key role.

Looking back at Vernon Forrest-Shane Mosley I its hard to say for sure but it definitely seemed to me that the head butt in the second round seemed to affect Shane. Could be wrong but it wasn't long after that he got floored. Of course it was a couple of great punches by Vernon which dropped Shane, not the head butt, but it seemed to affect Shane IMO.

Joel Casamayor is the master of the head butt-straight left combination, just look at the first Chico fight.

There were a couple more I was thinking of but I can't seem to remember which fights they were right now.

    Any other examples?

Yeah I first thought about the Mosley / Forrest 1 fight

The other was Barrera - Jones 1 . In round 5 Barrera got nutted and cut . It clearly bothered him, then seconds later like Shane he was on the floor and tasted defeat for the 1st time.

Tyson getting headbutted by Holyfield in round 2 of their 2nd fight was turning point

I remember Golota headbutting Riddick Bowe in there 2nd fight and the moron ended up cutting his own eye

If i remember rightly Tyson walked right into Holyfield's headbutt in there 1st fight, then shortly after got knocked down i think that effected Tyson somewhat.

Hopkins in the first Jermain Taylor fight landed more clean headbutts then I've ever seen landed in one fight, not sure how it effected the fight.

That was a proper headbutt Holt landed. Torres would of gone down if it weren't for the ropes (sorry Torres fans)

I was hoping Torres would win so he and Hatton could fight, Torres is the most exciting fighter at 140 you can't help but feel a bit sorry for him, but i guess it even's it up now that both fighters have lucky wins over eachother its now time for a 3rd fight to settle the score. I think Torres should just use the same gameplan and swarm Holt straight away instead this time don't get nutted

That butt did shake Torres to his boots but it was an accident.

Ones that stick in my mind are the Hopkins v Wright butt, Miranda v Abrahams and the whole of Tyson v Holyfield II.

I don't think Hatton would ever have fought Torres anyway - he's too dangerous without offering much.

Holt-Torres have definitely set up the 3rd fight. I thought Holt would win PTS, but funk knows what happens now

Holt is the better boxer for sure but i don't think his chin is that solid IMO thats why im picking Torres, but can these two actually have a fight without controversy ??

In both Tyson vs Holyfield fights, both fighters were coming in with their heads: Tyson just got the worse of it.
