Default Khan possibly moving down to fight Alex Arthur?

    Its on boxingscene

Apparently Warren tried to get Barrera to be Arthur's first defense () but it didn't work out, shocking I know, and so apparently he will be fighting Nicky Cook on September 6. According to boxingscene Arthur-Khan would be the fight Warren would want to make after that. Khan will be fighting on the same card apparently, in the main event.

Doesn't say anything specific about Khan moving down but if its for Arthur's title then he'd have to.

I have no idea if this will actually happen or is BS. Khan doesn't seem like a small 135 pounder to me so I don't know if he even could move down.

    Agreed KKisser.

I believe just before the Gomez fight he said he had 1.5% body fat. No way he is getting down to 130 in a safe manner in my opinion.

Well I kind of doubt this and he might well have problems moving down but he didn't have 1.5 percent body fat, I don't care what he says

    Will not happen.

They are Warrens only high profile fighters i doubt he would pitch them together plus Khan has stated he struggles making 135 there is noway he can go down.

However i would not rule out the words "Featherweight" being involved in Khans next (cough) fight

Arthur's been talking about moving up for some time, really struggles to make weight. Suppose the guy at 135 with the WBO vacates, Arthur will have automatic high ranking at new weight being champion at the other weight, coupled with Khan's high ranking and there's your roundabout (Frank warren stamped of approval) way to a world title. Seeing as the main players at super feather are leaving or retiring, Arthur may make the move up earlier, he's been looking for a big name opponent.

The article is kind of vague on who was moving down or up

Reminds me of an episode of Joey. A love rival to his girlfriend is boasting about how he's been working out and got his body fat down to 6.5%.

Joey goes 'well I've been working out too'

The other guy asks him what his bodyfat is and after a pause he say's 'Zero'

    HAHA

Strange because i watched the fight with my girlfriend and when he made the 1.5% claim my girlfriend said 'he thinks he's joey.'

Really funny episode is that. Shame it got cancelled. I actually found it funnier than friends.

Anyways in the unlikely event of this fight happening.....

Kahn embarasses Arthur and beats on him more than Gomez did.
