Default Boxing Update: Marco Antonio Barrera Splits With Golden Boy Promotions
After a successful five year relationship, Golden Boy Promotions and former multi-weight world champion Marco Antonio Barrera have amicably agreed to end their association.

Barrera has been released from his promotional contract and has agreed to give up his position as a partner in Golden Boy Promotions.

“Marco is ready to move in new direction with respect to his boxing career,” said President of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar de la Hoya.... Full Boxing Article here...

Didn't see this coming, but Marco was always the least vocal of all the GBP partners.

Does sound like a reasonably friendly decision.
