Default Hopkins vs. Hearns at 160

I've always wondered how Hopkins-Hagler would go but with Hearns coming back it got me thinking about a Hopkins-Hearns fight. I think if Hearns stayed outside and boxed that could cause some real problems for Hopkins. Bhop would have to come forward, which he can do, and press the fight and might run into a big right hand. Just wondering what you think of this fight and who would win and why?

Before anyone says it I don't mean the 46 year old Hearns that's coming back now, I mean the 160 Hearns that fought Hagler.

Oh woops... should have read your posts first. I think the old Hearns beats Bhop.

I agree about Hearns doing in BHop. He would have won against Leonard but I think one thing was overlooked then and now, he would have knocked Leonard if he had better legs. He already had the leavarage but the leg strength would have helped him push Sugar around the ring instead of just boxing him.

I'm for Hearns and just for the record he would have beaten Hagler given a rematch.

Tough call. Hearns is tall and has a good reach and excellent boxing skills like Hopkins does. I might say Hearns by UD.

To the guy who said Hearns would have beaten Hagler in a rematch - bullshit.

I'm as big a Hearns fan as there is, but Hearns could not take Hagler out. Hagler was just too tough, and with that knowledge it would be a matter of time before a rough housing Hagler caught Tommy, who's chin was crap.

Hearns always seemed to do good early in fights. He seemed to have a problem with fatigue at times. No way could Hearns whip Hagler. Hagler had too much heart. I don't know about Hearns and Hopkins though. You had to fight Tommy to take it from him. You never know what Hopkins will come to the ring, but he can fight you all kinds of ways. I'd say Hopkins would possibly wear Tommy down and be KO'd. I still say Hearns-Hagler was the best 2 round fight I ever seen.
