LEFT HAND counters
[l]Parry to outside position and drive straight left to the chin. As he jabs lower your left almost to the hip to get it out of the way. Parry his left at the last instant; as you brush it away step in with your left foot (pushing a bit with your right foot)Just pick up your left, direct from your @hip to his chin; don't throw it like a jab just pick it up. Very punishing punch esp. to one that really steps with his jab. [
[l2i] Parry to the outside and hook the left to the solar plexus or to the chin. If you recall the left/counters on an outside slip, I mentioned that the motion to slip the punch is the same as snapping off a left hook. Same principl here but the parry, I believe, makes the punch more effective, and you can generate a ton of power off this punch. Once again lower your left out of the way and wait as long as possible to parry his blow, then the parry and the punch go off nearly at once, th parry shading the lead. A short hook of 6"-12" with a blind angle and lots of heat on it. [ 3 ] Parry to outside position, dropm the left arm perpendicular to floor, step over with right foot to position outside opponent's left foot. As the weight shifts over the right leg hook the left into the solar plexus. Later I'll give you a variation on this that I prefer.
[4] Inside parry and left jab counter. Shift the weight over a straight left leg; turn left shoulder stright forward, driving left arm to complete extension and simultaneously pushing his left ouward wiyh your right glove. Make essentailly the same move but hook the left to the chin
