Angry How the hell does Paul Williams make weight?

I was just sitting here re-watching a very short match between Quintana and Williams and this time at the opening bell, I could not help but notice how big Paul Williams guns looked his triceps and biceps looked very big How on earth is this guy making weight? We must have Margarito vs Williams II

    It would be another classic.

I read months and months ago that Williams goes running at 4am EVERY morning in order to make the weight.

This stuck in my mind cause at the time of reading it, there was a lot of talk about his power (which i always debated he had lack of) and from there i made my assumptions as to why exactly he goes running at 4am every morning.

Which is why i don't see him climbing too many weight divisions.

Seriously though...it does blow me ole' mind that Williams can make weight too. He's got the Hearns factor going on in a big way.

I like Williams "You know what I'm sayin' son?"

I'm gonna go with removable intestines and spleen, that's the only reasonable explaination I can think of.

for PW's "lack" of power, he has a great KO ratio..

If i were him i'd be really kicking myself, becuase he should still be undefeated.. You lose to a guy, and then rematch him and KO him in the first round.. you have to consider yourself underprepared for the first fight, and that is the worst loss to deal with.

All the running and his natural frame. People forget how much weight people carry in the lower body. Like somebody else said, his arms are as big as his legs. Guys him Williams, Hearns, Chico, even Kelly Pavlik have chicken legs. Hell, even Tony Margarito has chicken legs. Between running, keeping about 4% body fat, and extreme dehydration, they make weight.

I am still reserved on my view of Paul. I really still do not know what he brings to the table. The KO of Quintana, as impressive as it was, did not showcase any improvements for me as it was a blowout. Was it an improvement or did he just catch him by surprise when Quintana was cold?

Quintana did some great boxing in the first fight and really seemed to have Paul's number. It will take another fight from Paul to see where he stands at. We know he will give Margarito a great fight, but it is still very difficult to label him the next big thing right now.

    Call me cautiously optimistic!hehe

The more lean muscle mass you have the more water weight you can drain out of your body.

Paul is a freak, a WW with a HW's reach.

Agreed. I think a rubber match between Quintana and Williams is more important than the Williams-Margarito rematch.

I like Williams a lot (despite my opinions on his power) but i feel Quintana has has a lot more to offer than a 1st round KO loss.
