The Cebu Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City last night was the site of wins by WBO Minimumweight ruler Donnie Nietes and WBO Intercontinental Super Bantam boss Rey Bautista.

Nietes, 23-1-3 (14), won his tenth in a row by crushing Nicaraguan visitor Eddy Castro, 12-4-1 (9), in the second round, retaining his WBO belt for the first time.

I just saw the fights. Nietes is a monster for his weight class. Great win for him. Bautista scored a second round KO too. But I don't think he's ready for another title shot yet.

Great win for the 16 year old Pagara too. I see him competing against the welterweight elites in 3 or 4 years from now. Kid's got talent.
