Oscar is bigger, stronger, more skilled & hits alot harder & loves to brawl. The only thing he lacks is his prime cuz he is already on the downslide! So what is Hatton trying to do? He most likely will get KTFO, so obviously it's for the big payday since everyone wants Oscar for the big $$$$! What do you think?

He will certainly want the $$$$ but I don't think that is the main reason. I agree that Oscar should win but if Hatton did beat ODLH then this huge popularity that he is enjoying would double and it would move him a step closer to becoming an ATG, which I think is more important to Ricky than the money!

I guess it depends on your definition, but Hatton will never be an ATG IMO. If he had beaten Floyd, maybe, but not now. He simply doesn't have the skills or level of competition to put him in that category.

He will go down as one of the more popular fighters of all time though.

If he was to beat Oscar De La Hoya he would probably end up in the Hall of Fame simply for having a W over him and Tszyu and being a two weight world champ. Being in the HOF to me constitutes towards being an ATG.

I really don't know what is going through Ricky's head with thoughts of fighting Oscar. Just shut up and focus on 140 pounds Ricky. It has been proved that you struggle at the higher weight in the past.

He should be keeping his attentions on his upcoming fight. If he underestimates Paulie he will lose.

I think he'll definitely end up in the HoF, but I don't think he's an all time great. Not even close.

Everyone wants to fight Oscar for the $$$$.

I know it goes against the whole "purist" thing, but if you get punched in the head and body for a living with no 401k plan and don't care about making as much money as you can while you're fighting, something is seriously wrong with you.

He probably thinks he can pull it off though. He was in denial about the Mayweather fight, blaming so much of it on the ref, when in fact he's just inferior to Mayweather and would get his ass beat by him with a better ref, at either 140 or 147.

Sometimes a little delusion and denial) may be necessary for a fighter, but it can always be very dangerous (Evander Holyfield).

I think Hatton is one of the most honest men in boxing.

Heis fighting for legacy. Should he beat Paulie and the winner of Oscar/Pac he will become a ATG. The Floyd loss will be put down to disgraceful officiating.

I'm still not sure if he will get past Paulie cuz Paulie has good footspeed & handspeed! This fight will be good & a big test for Hatton!

That's a ludicrous and ridiculous statement. When they were allowed to fight on the inside, PBF was dominating Hatton. Ricky's mom could've been the ref and PBF still would've beat him. What exactly would've been different if Cortez hadn't been the ref?

And for the record, if he beats Malignaggi and Pac/ODH, I would still have great difficulty calling him an ATG. He simply hasn't faced (and beaten) the type of competition to place him in that category. I like Hatton, he's a HoF fighter, but not an ATG. If that makes sense.
