    The judges had it:
    105-104 Mayorga, 105-104 Mosley, 107-102 Mosley.

I disagree with the score, but I can understand it. It was a close fight and depending on what you prefer I could see Mosley ahead by 3-4 rounds (5 is a bit of a stretch).

I thought Mayorga was a couple up. Guess it just shows how subjective scoring is.

Yeah. I had Mosley slightly ahead, but it was one of those fights where it all depended on what the individual judges were looking for. I can understand why some people had Mayorga ahead, I disagree with it, but I can see why. It was definitely close.

By round 8 I had the fight even (Mayorga with rounds 1, 2, 7, 8 and Mosley 3, 4, 5, 6). But rounds 9, 10, 11 I gave to Mosley and if there are any doubt, I could've given Mayorga the 10th but that was pushing it.

I can understand if someone had it closer than my card but to have Mayorga ahead before the 12th is pushing it.

Either way...Shane knocked him out to compleyely nil the effect of any scorecard..

The only two clear rounds for Mayorga were 2 and 8. Then there are three very close rounds that could have gone to Mayorga 1,3, and 9. Every other round was clearly for Shane. Rounds 4-7 were not even close. Round 10 was close, but it was still a Mosley round. Round 11 wasn't close...Mosley used that jab more effectively this round than I've seen him do in a long time, and he landed some big rights.

On the cards the fight was closer than it really was. There is a reason why Mayorga got KO'd. For 6 rounds Shane owned him completely. the other 5 he stayed in it.

The Shane won 5 rounds absolutely definitively. Mayorga won two clearly. The rest were close swing rounds. If you score those close rounds for Mosley, you have 107-102 doesn't look as bad. If that's probably how you got Mayorga ahead on one card...that judge gave all the close rounds to Mayorga. Some judges reward work rate and can't seem to tell if punches land or not...see the judges in the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight.

I thought Mosley was just about winning going into the 12th.. I didn't agree with Jim Watt's scoring.. but you have to take into account he was watching from ringside.

Mosley clearly isn't the fighter he once was.. it's something to do with the aging process, hardly surprising.

    What a finish

I had Mayorga up by2 points,I felt like Mosley took off to much of the 2nd half of the fight.I believe Mosley was hurt by A body punch, maybe even broken or more likely bruised ribs,Mosley comented something to his Dad about A injury, and his Father told him he could get that patched up later at the Hospital, but tonite he`s gotta fight, and not get Dogged out,and that`s exactly how I would describe what Mayorga was doing,Mayorg`s punches were not all that clean or pretty, but at times he was all over Shane imposing himself on Shane,Mosley was makeing Mayorga pay with sharp over-hand Rights though, all in all good fight with A exciteing ending

I didn't score but thought it was close.
    Hope that helps.

None of it matters as thankfully SSM took the decision out of the judges hands.

I have noticed something though. Once you start giving fighter A a close round you find yourself more compelled to carry on giving them the close rounds or even score the other way because you think you're being biased.

I Didn't score the fight but felt Mayorgo must have been ahead by the 12th. I got the feeling Mosley was gonna be on the wrong end of the decision.
(mite have just been setanta commentary)

Shocked with the KO though, if Mayorgo was given a count rather than
being waved after the second KD he would have been saved by the bell.......1 second....That must be a hard pill to swallow.
