    Default Terry Dunstan

THE waiting is almost over for for the former British, Commenwealth and European Champion Terry Dunstan - Terry has been out of jail nearly four years and after alot of thought has decided to come home to British Boxing and put a few wrongs right.

He said, ‘I let alot of people around me down, I want to prove to them and the British Public that I can do this and that I am worth all their support and love’
    .
It will represent a personal triumph for a boxer who has turned his life round since being jailed in 2000 over false imprisonment, blackmail and aggravated burglary charges.
Terry’s opponent is the durable Paul Bonson, He has lost 101 of his 128 fights but has only been stopped 3 times, the 6ft 4 Londoner Dunstan wants to be the 4th to do the deed. The 39 year old is on his weight and ready to go, don’t miss this exciting fighter make his come back.

    Good on him!

It's always remarkable to see someone who can be so effectively powerful when the situation call for it yet so cool, calm, collected and able to spar constructively in normal training as well.

That would be one of the marks of someone with a good mentality for the sport in my humble opinion.

Also noticed a brace on his right knee. A past injury perhaps? it doesn't seem to be restricting him in any way now which is a credit to him too really. It takes a lot of work, patience, dedication and the right direction from a good coach to come back to full competition after an injury i think!

I remember Dunstans shot at the IBF title vs Immamu Mayfield. It was the same night at Lewis - Briggs

Terry looked really vunerable that night vs a poor world champ . Mayfield beat Uriah Grant but never injected any pace into his work . He caught Terry late and the K.O was pretty sick . Im still to see Dunstans K.O loss to Carl Thompson . The other Dunstan fight I remeber apart from Gurov fight was when he knocked Nigel Rafferty out the ring on the Bruno - Mcall bill .

It was outdoors when it was light b4 it went on telly

Its been ages since Ive watched the tape. Benn vs Perez was on the same card and that was a good fight . I just remember Rafferty clowing acting as if he wasnt hurt so Terry clobbered him out the ring

Virgil hill was on that card too .
