Thread: Lucian Bute Is The Darkhorse Of The Division.

I've been saying this for atleast a year and a half, i was very impressed how he dealt with Kabary Salem. Who KD Joe Calzaghe heavily and gave Joe Calzaghe 12 tough/awkward rounds. Lucian Bute was the first man to ever stop Kabary Salem.

I was also impressed how he beat Sakio Bika convincingly, much more convincingly than Joe Calzaghe. And also considering no one has ever beaten Sakio Bika easily i think that was very good win for Lucian Bute.

I honestly think he is very skilled and could be the best Super Middleweight, in the world today. The only fighter who can really challenge Lucian Bute at Super Middleweight, is Mikkel Kessler, Jermain Taylor, IMO.

Froch is a dark horse as is Bute or as its pronounced butt.

Call me crazy but I think Taylor or Kessler to a lesser extent would beat him badly? Dunno what it is, he is a very good fighter and I'd like to get behind him being Canadian and all. I think it's that he sort of switches up between offence and defence to much, has these odd lapses where it seems like he could really strugle with a good mover. I'll hold out until I see him fight Andrade, although that's not really a bad style matchup for him. Just read the fight is on Showtime but PPV In Canada What a Joke.

How is Carl Froch a darkhorse ? he is getting hyped everywhere. Most people 1 year ago had hardly heard of Lucian Bute, he is a solid fighter and has beaten much better opposition than Carl Froch.

Froch may as well not have fought anyone known outside of his hometown. He has been in against absolutely zero quality thus far. Bute was matched up pretty stiff early in his career and has quite a good resume for being a young fighter. Froch is facing his first test in Pascal who is clearly the lesser fighter out of Montreal.

I like Andrade but I think Bute beats him via a very tight fight... majority dec or somewhere there abouts...

Andrade is a better fighter though still throws wide shots... The Bika fight is a good berometer but I still see it much tighter.
