Default Joel Julio v. Sergei Dzinziruk

Potential to be a great fight, outside of Quintana, Julio's first real test.

Who do you pick to win?

You nailed it! At 1st I thought Julio but now Santos starching Alcine in July impressed me too.

Right. That was a good point. Sergei can bang, no doubt.

At times when I've watched Julio, he looks like he'd be an elite fighter if he improved his D.

Don't think I've ever seen Sergei fight so know nothing about him.

Julio isn't especially exciting or exceptional imo but he's got fairly heavy hands and a decent workrate so unless Sergei is borderline world class I'd take Julio to win in the usual manner.

He doesn't excite me at all though. He kind of reminds me of Andre Berto, another talented boxer who for some reason I find as exciting as watching snails mate.

They both just win by attrition, stronger, physically better than their opponents they just wear them down over several rounds rather than put on any exceptional boxing displays.

Dzinziruk is a quality operator who should outbox Julio over 12.

Shame he's stuck in Germany fighting bums the rest of his career though.

At 1st I didn't understand why Juliod wouldn't want to fight "Maravilla" Martinez on HBO here in the states. Then after being ringside and witnessing Martinez's wrath I quickly realized why his team opted to go over to Sergeis place and fight him instead.

Martinez would have shread Julio to pieces...

I still think Sergeis gonna give Julio problems, Sergeis too ackward and just has a weird style. Julio needs to bring his A game and be ready.

    I voted Sergei by Decision.

It will be a big win for either man. If Sergei wins, he should take bigger fights outside of Germany like he has talked about.

I haven't seen a whole lot of Sergei but from what I have seen I'd pick him.

I think it would be bigger for Julio if he wins, however a win for Sergei should def. open his mind up to coming over to the states to fight.

I think Sergei will be to polished for Julio & will take a wide decision.

    I wouldn't mind seeing Dzindziruk/ Santos 2

    Default Julio-Sergei

I had no idea this fight was actually happening. I've never seen Dzinderek or whatever, but he beat Daniel Santos I believe. Julio just doesn't really do it for me, but it is good that he is again stepping up and not fighting guys from the Contender on ESPN2.

How wrong I was - Dzinziruk schooled Julio. I guess this means that Julio will always have trouble with a highly skilled technical boxer. Does anyone have footage of the fight? I would love to see it.

I pick Dzinziruk by UD Julio should start off good but about round 4 Dzinziruk should have him figured out and should cruise.
