i dont think joe should be #2. and why do you have mosley behind AA. and you have wald at 10 wtf
Wlad beat evryone he has faced recently . Im not a fan but he's dominated. AA before Mosley? Mosley almost lost to Mayorga and looked old. Abraham is young, undefeated and coming off a big win over Miranda
Hatton should probably be higher than 20
1pacman 2marquez 3.hopkins.4calzaghe5.margarito and keep the rest
theres no way abraham is afraid of Marquez. Full respect to M, but A has faced tougher opposition. Everyone can have a postponed fight, I dont even like abraham too much but he's very good fighter.
Damn , Forgot to put haye on it, lol
It's not that, though Haye should come in at 20 IMO.
Just the likes of Cotto, Klitchsko, Marquez, Kessler, Caballero and Abraham are too "Up on the list" and should be a few places down. And Ricky Hatton, Ivan Caderon and Paul Williams should be higher. And were the fukk is Fernando Montiel ?
Serioulsey man, I could on about it all day.
The top is pretty much in accordance with my own, a couple adjustments though. The rest of the top 20 is different from mine but it's all subjective, nobody can say who is right and wrong definitively.
Ok my list.
1. Pacquiao- with Floyd not fighting this is a sure pick,
2. Calzaghe - He has haters but he's unbeaten and beat BHop in his last fight. Has to be number 2 imo.
3. JM Marquez, would be number 2 but for Pacquaio loss. Great fighter.
4.B Hop, a marvel, keeps turning the clock back.
5. Israel Vazquez, great fighter. The top 5 is clear imo.
6. Margarito. Win over Cotto was huge, although the loss to Williams hurt him. Still he's probably the most dangerous man at 147.
7. Mijares, I personally hate him because of all the man love he gets on here but there's no denying his talent. If he beats Darchinyan he could be on the verge of stardom.
8. Calderon, possible the world's best pure boxer. Great little fighter.
9. M Cotto. Hopefully he'll bounce back from the loss to Margarito.
10. R Marquez. Great trilogy with Vazquez, not sure how much those fights took out of him though.
Ok the next 10 is much harder to assess and I really can't put them in order. But these would probably be my 10 and why.
11. Pavlik. Still the world's best middleweight, exciting fighter
12. Hatton, needs to prove himself against Malignaggi but he's still one of the world's best
13. Williams, a real threat to anyone from 147 - 160 imo.
14.Dawson, wins over Adamek, Johnson and Tarver mean this kid is the potential future superstar of American boxing
15. Haye, Probably wouldn't make most lists as he's moved up to heavyweight and as yet has no resume there, but back to back wins over Mormeck and Maccaerinelli meant he was the unified Cruiserweight champ and without doubt deserves a top 20 spot.
16. Wlad, has a lot of haters but he's by far the most consistent heavyweight. Until his brother came back he was a near certainty to clean up the division. Hasn't lost in 4 years and has picked up half the world title belts now.
17. Kessler, lost to Joe but in every other fight he's proven a classy operator. With wins over Beyer, Mundine and Adrade he's the best 168 lber in the world.
18. Mosely, gave Cotto a really tough fight, fought a barnburner with Mayorga. He's slipped slightly but he's still a great fighter.
19. Chris John, with a win over Marquez he should be higher, but he still only fights nobodies in Indonesia.
20. Juan Guzman, he disgraces himself with failing to make weight last time out but he's one of the slickest fighters in the sport
