Ringside Boxing Report: Lucian Bute vs. Librado Andrade

Sometimes you see an injustice that makes you question your world. What took place in Montreal last Friday night, made me sick.

In the last few seconds of the 12th round, challenger Librado Andrade in my opinion was robbed of a win by referee Marlon Wright. IBF Super Middle Champion Lucien Bute was given a 'Long Count' by the referee, who in my opinion, allowed the hometown boxer to win the bout.

OK, I saw this fight and Bute went down with 5 seconds left in the round and I counted and he was up before the count of ten. Also the bell was late sounding for the end of the round. I watched this on my DVR several times because I thought it was a knock out too. But it wasn't. It's a shame it took so long for the other guy to knock Bute down, another few seconds earlier and he would of had an upset win. I don't know what the hell the ref was up to but the guy in charge of ringing the bell was in lala land too.
