Default Victor Oganov and billy dib....

Please learn the god damn basics of boxing. I was appauled with what i saw Oganov do today. He had terrible foot work, sloppy punches and no defence. How is even the position to fight a guy ranked 7th or something by the WBO? Now i know he tried to hang in there and showed heart but jesus you need more then that to win. Someone take this guy back and show him how to box, he might have power but it only counts when it hits and with his punches..against guys with poor defence.

Billy dib, what i saw in his last fight was also terrible. I saw Naseem Hamed wanna be in the ring, he doesnt have the power nor the speed of the prince so he can not fight like him. It would be like kelly pavlik fighting like floyd mayweather. If you dont have the same attributes as the fighter your fighting like then it aint going to work. Billy had good foot work when he was up on his toes, only problem is that he wasnt punching. With that performance he would be a shoe in on dancing with the stars.

Its just beyond me how the mediocre fighters got to the big time, i dont see how.

agree.... never thought much of Oganov I've seen him fight a few times alot of power but thats it..... I'd like to see him come back to Austraila and fight someone like Tim Bell or Porky Lovett.

I know this sounds bad but i was embarrassed watching these two fight on the big stage. Im just glad we have fighters like vic and katsidis that show they can fight in the big ones. I know katsidis aint the best but he can match it with best, maybe not beat them all but he brings all he has every fight. Dibb and Oganov, i dont want to see these guys again on a pay per view fight, its ripping off the fans and they are not ready for that kind of competition. Dibb needs to step back, analyse his style and see the flaws for himself. Maybe then he can adjust and become a decent boxer but until then, every good boxer in his division will beat him and he will continue to come up short. Harsh but it needs to be said.

Sometimes the truth hurts. take Dibb and Oganov out of the cotton wool and give them harder domestic fights before taking them overseas to get smashed. Katsidis on the other hand needs an easier fight before stepping back in with the big boys.

    They both suck balls.

Oganov was meant to be Inkin's russian nemesis.

Oganov is one of the worst fighters i have ever seen at a high level, he has no idea what to do in a boxing ring except stumble forward and get hit every 3 seconds!!

Oganov is garbage, Billy has talent but thinks he is better than what he is. Hopefully this loss is a reality check and makes him concentrate more on boxing rather than showboating.

Im glad us aussies are in agreement. Oganov is terrible. I remember when fenech said oganov would beat green and mundine in the same night...hahaha god fenech was full of shit. Mundine and green would of had oganov out of there in one round.

Yeah that's right he did too. Not like Jeff to have sour grapes. Think was just after Green and Fenech split.

It was very strange because even though he was getting hit getting inside, one he got there he did nothing. I doubt we'll see much of Oganov on the world stage thankfully, perhaps Fenech will have him on one of his friday night promotions but that is hopefully all.

I agree with the comments about Dib. He needs to slow his progress and learn more. With better balance and technique he will get more power.

But I would not want to meet Organov in a Moscow Alleyway late at night. Good God, he is a human oin cushion. It woulld take a .45 to stop him in his tracks. Brutal. It reminded me of Cobb-Holmes.

Oganov was terrible, but at least he was game. I actually thought that Dirrell looked gassed and distressed on a couple of occasions. Mind you, when he did he usually followed up with an aggressive barrage that shook Oganov.

Oganov's footwork was deplorable, he crossed his feet all the time and his balance looked shithouse. It was very frustrating the way he would plough forward without throwing, just waiting to take shots. His wild swings when in close were laughable, Dirrell made him miss so easily.

Dib, don't even get me started on him. A man who has based his entire career on being friends with famous better boxers (first Hamed then Mosley). Seriously, Mosley can fight so you'd think he'd be a good judge of talent, but what he sees in Dib is beyond me. Prince Naseem Hamed did everything in boxing wrong. Didn't matter though - he had amazing reflexes and power, so for a long time he was electric.

Dib fights like Hamed, minus the reflexes and power. That leaves him with the fact that he does everything wrong. I've seen him fight twice. That's an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back - cheers Billy.

I couldnt believe in the paper the next day they called it a "controversial loss"...the only thing controversial about that loss is why Oganov was even in the ring. I was glad when that uppercut hit, i saw him stagger and i was near on my knees hoping the ref would stop it.

Ive seen Dibb fight around 5 times or so, he looked promising against nobodies and i thought if he improved his style then he could be a star and then i watch him on PAY PER VIEW (want my money back just for his fight) and i see the same guy with exactly the same style and exactly the same flaws. He didnt improve at all.

You know before these two showed up, i gave Vic Darchinyan a bit of shit, i wasnt a big fan. I supported him coz us aussies dont get many boxing champs. But then i saw Dib and Oganov on the world stage and DAMN Vic is the man. The guy is awesome, i will pay to watch him fight anytime! Hes always exciting, he has flaws but like other boxers...he uses them to his advantage and doesnt allow them to be used against him. Vic is awesome, dibb and oganov are try hards. They try hard to be something they are not.

Dibb could still get some publicity though, i reckon he shits Dancing with the stars in for sure. Oganov could sign a lucrative deal with Everlast "the walking punching bag-it wont hit back but it will walk straight into your punches" .

A bit of a hateathon there, but cmon if i ever have to pay for a fight card with them on it (or hoppa or mirovic) i will email austar/foxtel and complain for sure
