    Default Should Calzaghe retire?

Should he retire or perhaps have one more fight vs Chad Dawson or rematch Hopkins or even fight Froch any of these fights in wales would be a good way to go or should he just retire.

What's the point of fighting Froch or Dawson, is he really gonna get credit? Short of beating a Prime Muhammad Ali, some people will never believe

Yeah i think he should retire, like he said last night there's always going to be one more up and comer to face, look at how R. Jones ended up, he could have retired at 50-1 instead it's 52-5

Only 1 fight that makes any sense and that's Hopkins. But if JC won Hopkins would just be 'Old' again until he destroys somebosy in the next fight after Joe lol

The Hopkins that fought Pavlik would be Joe's hardest fight ever by a mile.

But the Hopkind who fought Pavlic would not be allowed the same one dimentional more static and weaker opponent in front of him .. he would have JC which is a different opposition altogether ... simply put, Hopkins wasnt and would never be allowed to fight the same fight he did with Pav against JC..

I agree to an extent, but being honest I still think B-Hop was a different animal right from the off against Pavlik

Nah....why? Only if he is insecure about loosing the '0'.His offense appeared a bit slower last night but that may have been consciousness for Roy's still potent right hand.Dawson would be a good go.

He has 1-2 good fights left in him for next year, he should fight Dawson and Froch in Wales.

Fighting and beating Hopkins again is pointless. Yes Hopkins looked great againsed Pavlik but for every punch he threw he had nothing coming back, Joe throws 10 for every one you hit him with, that's why Hopkins was so tired and had him resorting to pretending to get hit low, he hates the pace.

I would love for jc to keep fighting but not because he has something to prove or something but because I like to see him fight. The people that still doubt him are never going to stop doubting him so don't keep on fighting to prove something. Like I would love for him to take on dawson, but just to see the fight because he isn't going to prove anything with a win because out of the woodwork would they come "oh dawson was still a bit to green. dawson got "beat" by an old man in glenn". So I say joe should keep going if he still feels it otherwise hang em up with his 0 intact, cause his detractors won't give him respect even if he was to beat dawson, froch and hopkins again in a string.

I say retire. I think he loses motivation with every passing month.

If he does carry on then there's only Hopkins, and in Wales. One thing about Joe last night is that he looked more comfortable at the weight than against Hop, especially on his footwork which seemed less lethargic. He also looked much stronger than he did against Kessler, and stood down on a (very) few of his punches showing that some of the power is still there when he chooses to use it, maybe he would more if he were really pressed.
