Thread: The week's Solo Boxeo

My boy Jhonny Gonzalez is fighting Reynaldo Lopez as a 10 round co-feature.

Lopez is dangerous, a wild swinging Columbian that is coming off a recent upset of Mike Oliver.

This will be a tough match, but I'm backing Gonzalez to break him down.

Should be a decent card...I pick Gonzalez as well but the fights should be entertaining

I agree, should be a decent card... Michael Domingo vs. Nestor Rocha in a bantamweight 10 rounder and middleweight Craig McEwan in an 8 rounder...

Should be a nice fight while its lasts....either way.I like Gonzalez via KO,he is on a re building role and added weight serves him well now.Would like to see him get a shot ,Vasquez rematch ?

Ill pay 50 bucks for a Vazquez rematch.

"THURSDAY P.M.: A California commission source informed me late this afternoon that Michael Domingo is unable to meet Nestor Rocha due to a medical issue. This is obviously a major disappointment for all concerned.

Domingo's place will be taken by veteran Oscar Andrade, who meets Rocha in a 10-rounder."

If Gonzalez get's past Lopez without getting caught (which is a pretty big risk), he may be thrust back up to the top of the division, a fight against JuanMa may very well happen, dangerous for both guys. Even though Gonzalez is my favorite, I'd have a hard time picking him over JuanMa

Nestor Rocha vs. Oscar Andrade 10 rounds super bantam 122 lbs

Rocha in red trunks with silver trim, Andrade in white trimmed with black and gold.

Round 1: Bell, touch gloves in the middle, Rocha starts out with feeling out jabs nice and relaxed, looping body shot lands, back and forth with jabs, Andrade tries to up the ante with a left hook. Both men testing the waters now not full power shots, but trying sink in some hooks with uppercuts. Rocha successfully lands a a few uppercuts. Back to duelling jabs. They are slowly circling each other nice straight right lands for Rocha. Andrade assumes the defender role backing up but still matching pace. Rocha starting to get into range with his jab better.
