Default Will Cotto do a Tszyu?

Been sitting on my mind for two weeks or so. I think Cotto has what it takes to come back stronger like Tszyu did and MAYBE clear up the Welterweight division to become an undisputed champ. I think he has the fire in his belly and the desire to do great things.

I can't wait to see him back in action, it's like waiting for the growl of an engine after spending a few months tweaking it and upgrading it. Whats gonna happen?

Will we see an upgraded version of Cotto?

Well there is a slight difference Kel first off no disrespect to Vince Phillips, but we all know Kostya Tszyu wasn't 100 percent in there fight. Even though Vince Phillips used the right tactic of swarming Kostya Tszyu, and not allowing Kostya Tszyu room to get his power shots off. I still think a 100 percent, Kostya Tszyu would of beaten Vince Phillips.

Where as even though Miguel Cotto did make a few tactical mistakes against Antonio Margarito, he still fought a great fight and he was 100 percent. And he still lost and i can't see him beating Antonio Margarito in a rematch, like i could with Kostya Tszyu/Vince Phillips.

He can still be major force in the WW division but theres name like Joshua Clottey, Andre Berto, Paul Williams, ETC. Who would be very tough fights for Miguel Cotto.

And no disrespect to your boy Kel Kostya Tszyu fought good fighters, but he didn't have the same competition Miguel Cotto has right now. So its hard to see him dominating with the level of opposition at Welterweight right now.

Interesting point mate(in bold). I do happen to think that Kostya fought the most 'high risk, low reward' fights in his day.

Do you happen to know what weight Miguel averages on the night of a fight?

I would like to see Cotto take the same path as Tszyu and win a few fights before taking on Margarito again. If he gets in with Margo to soon and loses a second time it spells trouble for his career, have at least 2 fights fairly close together within 3 months and then have another crack at Margarito mid year 2009. Cotto got beaten up pretty badly in those last 2 rounds and needs a confidence boost, remember Paul Williams is stlil out there too and Cotto may be left out in the cold if he fails again.

I agree. He should fight a couple of guys who are good fighters but not quite elite. like Collazo or Urango. Guys like that. Get the confidence up and then go after the big dogs again. I actually think that now Mosely seems to be free he may be a good fight cos he aint quite what he used to be.

I hope so. I hope he would beat Marg in a rematch. Not that I have anything against him I just predicted he would win the first match so it would be like a personal revenge.

Only thing is I really see Williams as the man to clean up the division should he stay there.
