Default Biggest Ripoff PPV in history?

Let's make a list of the biggest rip offs. I am sure you Saddo's can ramble off the best of 'em...

This idea popped in my head when I created the thread on about Cotto-Jennings and Pavlik-Rubio

Next would have to be EVERY SINGLE JCC Jr fight.

Gatti-Mayweather - definately not PPV worthy, and I am #1 Gatti fan! (still bought it)

Holyfield vs Oquendo was horrible if I remember correctly.

Without wishing to slag you off, fans like you are the reason promoters think they can pull the wool over our eyes . If people continue to buy shite, then we will constantly offered it. I refuse to buy any PPV. People pay for cable/satellite services and all events should be included in my opinion.

I spent $44.95 last year on Ibragimov-Holyfield. As boring as the main event was, the co-feature (a cruiserweight fight... can't remember the fighters) was even worse. One of the most boring fights I've ever watched.

    Winner.

    I couldn't believe that. I really couldn't.

At least Dick Turpin wore a scarf when he robbed people.

I don't think they are going to offer this stuff on basic cable, satelitte, etc. in the future. And furthermore, mon amie, I would not want it to!

I would hate for big boxing events to end up like the damn Super Bowl! All chock full of commercials! Hell no. I want to see recaps on the fighter's careers; I want to hear commentary; I want ring entrances; I want all the angles; I want to see the Souza fixing Gatti swollen left eye.

I am American. I want a Big Mac too!

I can well imagine. Oquendo could make any fight look bad. His fight against Ruiz was probably the worst i have ever suffered through.

For me, the biggest waste of money was Holyfield-Douglas. Douglas was in horrible shape, not even close to the fighter that showed up against Tyson.

Yeah and it was on in the middle of the day. Which to me made matters worse.

I don't think Gatti vs Mayweather was a ripoff. The shock value of the beating Gatti took and the timeless performance Mayweather gave, it was worth paying for.

I paid for Rahman Vs. Barrett in '05

and nothing since then has felt like such a scam as that "slugfest."

probably floyd vs oscar the world awaits...that fight single handidly had so much pressure on it to be an incredible fight but floyd jr just backed up all night and pot shotted to victory.

the hype was this was the fight to save boxing, and it did more harm then good in casual fans minds.
