    Default Mayweather wants Hatton rematch

    This is from the BBC

Floyd Mayweather Jr wants to come out of retirement for a possible rematch with Ricky Hatton next year.
Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams said Mayweather Jr, who retired after he dismantled Hatton inside 10 rounds last year, has approached the Briton's camp.
However, Hatton wants to negotiate a lucrative bout with Filipino Manny Pacquiao in the summer.
Williams said: "The fight we want to make, our preference, is Manny Pacquiao because that is a great fight."
Williams continued: "Ricky has made no secret of the fact he wants to take on the best and Pacquiao is regarded as the best.

"We're more than happy to make that fight but it has got to be on acceptable terms."
Pacquiao inherited Mayweather's status as the world's leading fighter after the 29-year-old beat Oscar de la Hoya after eight rounds earlier this month.
The Filipino's comprehensive victory seemed to have paved the way for a bout with Hatton, with Pacquiao's promoter, Arum, stating negotiations were underway - a claim Williams has denied.
"He's not talked to us at all. We're happy to fight Pacquiao but it has to be on our terms," said Williams.
"We won't be bullied or forced into any decision that is not on our terms.
"We've had no contact whatsoever with him. That is the fight we want to make but we've got other options, we will do what is best for us."
Hatton, who is being trained by Mayweather's father, Floyd, suffered his only professional defeat at the hands of the American in Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old two-weight world champion had earlier this year spoken of his desire for a rematch with Mayweather.
Williams added: "Every light-welterweight in the world wants to fight Hatton.
"We've had approaches from everybody. We've also had approaches from people at 130lbs, Juan (Manuel) Marquez and Juan Diaz both want to fight him.
"He is a massive draw and can fight where he wants."
"There is no point being alive if you cannot do the deadlift."

Everyone is saying floyd has said everything under the sun hell even quoting a text sent to his freakin niece. The only person who hasn't said anything is floyd himself. For hating this guy so much people sure do jump at every word he says real or not.

I think this is just a negotiating ploy for Hatton to get more out of the Pac fight, such as possibly getting it held in the UK or getting a higher split. Can't see Arum falling for it. The wrinkly ol' cunt. As people say Floyd ain't sayin nothin', & Floyd sr might have one of those rare attacks of conscience if a rematch was actually made & pull out anyway

IF...Big IF, this is true I think I see it as a dirty ploy on Floyd's part to block Pacman from further cementing his grasp on the P4P title by beating on a fighter he already beat and keeping Manny from fighting him.
    The key is Self-discipline.

Dat evil villain Floyd eh? Logically he wouldn't do that for the simple reason he likes his money, & fightin the winner of that fight would make him A LOT more money than simply fightin Hatton agen

Yeah, of all the guys he could fight:

Manny, Margarito, Cotto, Shane, Paul Williams, etc. - who wants to see that rematch?

Oscar was given grief for fighting Manny, Floyd should be too if he does come back & it's for Hatton - especially if he beat him for the 2nd time & then retired again.

Then your both insane Ricky Hatton lost almost every round, and was doubled in punches landed. What can Ricky Hatton do better in a rematch ? he was beat on the inside at his own game, so if he was beat on the inside how the hell can he possibly win ?

I doubt this is even true, no way Floyd would come out of retirement to fight Hatton again, what for?

Manny Pacquaio is the draw now. For the first time in his career Floyd has a genuine rival for his p4p crown. He finally has the opportunity to get his defining fight against another all time great still in his prime and currently on fire.

In the light of those circumstances he wants to come back and fight a guy he completely embarrassed a few months ago........bullshit
