Thread: Good News - Bob Arum lands new TV deal with Azteca America

Well with the fall of WNF and Solo Boxeo, this is good news.

They are going to do anywhere from 36 to 52 shows in 2009.

They already have 5 shows lined up, and it begins January 17th.

Here's the link with all the information, including who is fighting in those 5 fights.

The only thing that sucks, I don't get this channel. Live streams for me.

sounds good, Arum kind of screwed it with Versus, hopefully he makes more of an effort here.

How did Arum screw up? Was this because of his fighters getting gift decisions?

I just didn't think the cards were that great, lot of Tye Fields, lot of Arum fighters that I personally didn't want to see all the time. Seems like Versus has gotten better since.

It's def. a great way to put boxing out there...

I'm all for it. I hope the networks are willing to work it out with Arum.
It would be monumental if it get's done.

This is REALLY great...

On this same note, I think Canchilla beat Segura again.

I think Segura fought like an amateur in the 1st fight, I expected more maturity from him but he went on to fight like power is all that mattered.
Canchilla was able to bounce back and outbox him the whole way through.
