Default Good god - Mundine fighting Shannan Taylor

Since Danny Green he has fought:-

    Ruben Eduardo Acosta
    Sam Soliman (twice)
    Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas
    Jose Alberto Clavero
    Nader Hamdan
    Crazy Kim
    Rafael Sosa Pintos

And now Shannan Taylor - a man who peaked about 10 years and 15 pounds ago.

Mundine is everything that is wrong with boxing - a man who cons the public with false bravado and a ridiculous Muhammad Ali routine to generate numbers to his fights and yet who is so scared, so frightened to his very core of losing his Wednesday night meal tickets that he simple refuses to face ANY quality opponents whatsoever.

The worst thing of all is that he is so supremely talented. Yet we will never know how good he could have been because he never took a chance.

Even when he was up and coming - he always went after the weakest links like Ottke, Siaca, Echols. The ballsiest thing he ever did was fight Kessler AND HE GAVE HIM A PRETTY GOOD FIGHT. Pity poor Anthony was so traumatized by the experience that even when he became Kessler's mandatory a few months back he was too scared to have another go.

Even at middleweight, he is making no noise about Kelly Pavlik or Arthur Abraham - no, instead he wants to fight Felix Sturm

Well, I've posted my last on Mundine. Until his testicles finally descend into his scrotum, he simply is not worth the bother.

Mundine isn't conning anybody. Cuz I doubt anybody is buying into his charade. I actually think the opposite. When he came up he took chances. Fighting Ottke (in Germany) with like 10 total fights isn't easy. And Echols has never been easy for anybody. Now Mundine is just a joke.

I thought Jermain walked over Echols. Anyways from my understanding Mundine isn't getting the big fights either, it seems nobody really wants to fight him, too little reward, too great a risk.

Shannan was demolished at Lightweight by Mosley, he's a brawler pure and simple, Mundine shouldn't be bothering with such company.

After this I don´t understand why he gave the WBA away without a fight, maybe time will tell.

Kessler-Mundine 2 would have been great compared to Sartison and Haussler, don´t understand the rating WBA have in SMW it really sucks, I guess that Mogens Palle made the names in order to cash in on Kessler in Denmark.

Would be good to see Mundine in the mix again

Jermain Taylor never fought Antwun Echols.
And Mosley made I believe his first defense of the welterweight title against Taylor and yes beat him badly.

There now I feel so smart!

Taylor is 36 i think and was a good fighter 8-9 years ago until Mosley knocked him out.
Mundine will have a training run here and slink off boasting how good he is again to anyone stupid enough to listen to him. Abraham pounded Taylor over 12 rounds 3 years ago and Mundine will waste everyone's time doing the same. Mundine has to go to the USA this year and lift his profile or no one will fight him, for where the big money is Mundine is a nobody!!!

Taeth you must be reading Majesty's posts. Anybody will fight Mundine Mundine doesn't go to people with fights and instead of fighting Miranda, Kessler backed out not to fight Sartison or Haussler but it was Mundine who was the guy they wanted. It's ridiculous, Mundine is fighting nobody at all relevant to the division, at all.
