Frank Maloney has won the purse bids for Matthew Marsh's British super bantamweight title defence against Liverpool's Mark Moran. His bid in excess of £31,600 [$46,000 USD] means Moran, 11-0-1, who Maloney co-promotes with VIP Promotions, will have crucial home advantage.

As always, I'm going for Marsh in this one. I respect Moran, he has great boxing talent but Marsh's boxing skills, energy and stamina will shine through on the night. If everyone is comparing these two by the Commonwealth games success then stop now because Marsh was weight drained and suffered his only ever knock out because of it. No doubting that this will be an absolute blinder of a domestic fight!
