Default Froch isn't as willing to fight Taylor as he led us to believe...

Froch is willing to fight Taylor anytime, anywhere: Sky Sports | Boxing | News | Froch - Come and get me

However, that doesn't include March 28th and the United States:
Froch's Promoter Denies Claims of Team Jermain Taylor - Boxing News

Froch complains constantly that fighters dodge him. Why not take the fight against Taylor on Showtime on the 28th?

    That's a bit harsh mate.

Lou DiBella says he offered them the March 28 date but he also KEEPS saying the money isn't right for the Froch fight.

Hennessy (Froch's promoter) has at least acknowledged there that they'll do the date if he can sort the UK end out at short notice.

It sounded a bit harsher than I intended it to. Froch always complains people won't fight him and so on and so on. Here is his chance with a marquee fighter. That is all I meant.

"But the problem here is that there’s a date in America for March 28 and while we are interested in going to the US, right now we’ve got to make sure that date tallies up with the UK rights for the fight because it’s short notice and broadcasters make their schedules well in advance."

. Just say you were bull shiiting and you don't really want the fight.

They should offer the fight to a guy like Bika or Miranda, guys who really do wanna fight anywhere anytime, they dont just say it they back it up by travelling.

I believed that Froch would fight anywhere anytime as much as I believed that he actually offered Calzaghe £5m for a fight

He's a paper champion. He won a vacant title by beating a fringe contender. He never beat a champion for the title.

After watching him go life and death with a Canadian who is possibly a little bit short of world level ability it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Froch stay at home and fight an easy mandatory to make a bit of money. Henessy has a contract with ITV, it'd be no problem at all for him to get the fight on the telly and he's had months to make a TV deal for the fight on British TV anyway, so he's clearly bullshitting.

I'm sure i read ITV wont show anymore fights in the early hours.. which obviously Froch-Taylor would be from the states.

But.. I'd be surprised if Froch didn't have one or two "gimme" defences before stepping up.

Respect to him if he makes his first defence in the challengers backyard

Hopkins 2X (lost in my opinion)
    Wright (a draw)
    Pavlik 2X (lost ha ha)
Lacy (everyone on this site say lacy was always crap and well overated)

It may be the case with ITV but Hennessy knew the dates for the purse bids before Froch fought Pascal and would have been negotiating with British TV companies then to see how much they were willing to pay so that he could make his bid. Using British TV problems now as an excuse is no excuse, it does look like they're avoiding the fight.

I agree that Froch deserves respect for making his first defence (or even second or third) in the States but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm guessing the Trent FM arena for the forseeable future.

    Oh you wanna go there

    Froch's last 3 opponents

The record shows he beat Hopkins 2x regardless of what people think, and a draw with Wright isint to bad either. thats 36 rounds with 2 hall of famers.

Froch has 0 worldclass credentials, and has to prove himself. getting handed a title dosent make you world class, you still have prove yourself.

Look at Berto, same situation he is considered a champ, but he still has to prove he is worthy by fighting live contenders and bona fied threats like he did against Collazo.. Froch needs to man up and make this fight or he will be considered another coddled complainer and self proclaimed feared fighter
