Dud I totally agree with you.
Never count Shane Mosley out, or any fighter for that matter, I think Mosley could make Tony stumble dance in the early rounds, but Tony wins stoppage. TKO

I think Shane knows he can't win by KO. so the game plan no matter how tempting it is to stay inside for a while and throw more punches should be to box. that is all. that should be all.

    Jab..jab.jab. straight right.jab..run..run. run. run.run.run.run.jab.jab.jab.fake.run.jab.run.run.r un.there goes the bell.run.raises his right hand. x 12 boring rounds. = UD

BUT I know he, at this stage of his career is much less capable of doing so. and I feel Tony is gonna have another highlight reel. 1st one to stop Mosley? I think he would do so.

Whilst I favour Margarito to win I dont think its the 1 horse race everyone is saying it is.

I cant see Shane getting stopped. He is too classy to be worn down. He may box rings round the much slower Mexican in the early rounds and beat him to the punch. As it progresses Tonys pace takes over and he takes a points decision .

    Good competative fight

Good Competitive Fight. Unless Shane can move in and out without being hit, he won't win this fight.

There is a blueprint to beating Margarito: (1) fight defensively (not the most appealing style to watch) - be in tremendous shape and move around the ring a lot, never getting into exchanges, win on points for cleaner, straighter punches or (2) stay on the outside and throw a ton of punches (requires long reach), like Paul Williams.

I hope Marg wins, I have lost respect for Mosley injecting himself with substances in his blood stream. No boxer should be doing that.

Anyone think Mosley can win? I don't.

If the same Mosley turns up that fought Mayorga last time, then I think he'll definitely be stopped late-ish.. probably by the corner.

    Thoughts?
I'm not sure about getting stopped but beaten yes!

I didn't realize until yesterday that this is not PPV. It just goes to show you that even though Margarito is the lineal champ in the deepest division in boxing facing a first ballot hall-of-famer that still no one knows him. Hell, let me stop- this isn't a trash Margo thread. I want Mosley to win, but as a guy who has never KO'd an elite fighter in this class I doubt he's about to do it against the guy with the best or second best chin in the division. Mosley will crack him often enough until 7 or 8 when it becomes obvious that Margarito isn't going anywhere and Shane has to ride a bike to even sniff the finish line. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony scored a knockdown due to Shane exhaustion, but there won't be a 10 count. There COULD be a KO, but Shane will be in an upright position when he speaks to Harold Lederman.

I think that even though Shane Mosley is old i think he can pull i win over Antino Margarito i think people are still high off Margarito last win but i think Shane Mosley is hell of alot metally tougher and has a better chin then say a Cintron or a Cotto if he keeps moving and keeps a good out put i would not have much trouble seeing Molsey ud over the tough Margrito if you have the chin and the fast hands then you can beat him not sure how much age while play but who knows though.

I would of though Mosely would have a chance if it had not been for the Mayorga fight. Margarito by 10th round TKO

The fight schedule he has kept up through his life, I don't blame him for using steroids........esp. when it was harder to detect and just as widespread as it is now.

THis steroid deal is really widespread, they are just going after names for examples. Mosely is the Martha Stewart of boxing and it pisses me off.

Maybe you should stop because the fight at Staples Center is sold out. 18,157 tickets sold!

I think his mentality ,Shanes,Has always been that of a 'fighter' and I think he was trying to make a statement in that Mayorga fight.Stood in and went shot for shot.I do not see him being able to move/box all night at this stage of career, even if he could I think he really would not be hesitant to step in and bang in spots with Tony,as crazy as that sounds,I think Mosley needs to show Tony he can crack him when he rushes in.Im telling you,Shane is VERY live in this one early on but I see Tony coming on strong, killing that body and taking this one .Has all the makings of a war!

Think if Shane Mosley goes to the body he has a good chance of slowing Antonio Margarito down that seems to be the only place that you can hurt the man lets not forget that i know Shane Mosley has alwasy been better at the weight of 147 and i think he has a chance to beat Antonio Margarito i think he has the chin and the skill to upset Antonio Margrito.
