Im not quite sure what to do with my hands when slipping punches.Is it best to keep my guard up high or lower it so its just my head thats gotta slip the punch because it can still throw me off balance if if a punch deflects off my glove and i dont get the same feeling of having evaded the punch or sometimes i feel as if i want to bring the the opposite hand across,for example if i slip to the right i can bring my right hand across to the left side of my face with my palm facing outwards sort of like i was catching a ball if that makes sense...

It sounds the way your describing it that your feet arent in proper placement,a slip without your legs correctly under you would cause that feeling
