    Default How much to Sparr?

I have a quick question. I have been fighting professionally for some time and have a 5-0 record. I am a heavy weight so I really know how to take a punch. I want to know what the average rate is for sparing 3 rounds. I have been parring for free for some really established fighters and have yet to see any money. I can't keep taking a punch for free. I am here in Los Angeles, Ca if that helps. Thanks

It really depends on who you are, Joe Calzaghe actually doesn't spar at all for his fights and focuses solely on conditioning and staying sharp for the whole fight.

Do you have any videos of you fighting?

Id really have to know who you were sparring, and what kind of payday they were looking at.
If its high end,you definitly should be getting paid, but the who and the how much needs to be worked out

doesnt it seem odd that a 5-0 pro is asking such a fundamental question? seems to me that if you're truly any good then your trainer should be finding YOU guys to spar with.. ie, to develop YOU. Not the other way around.

    something is amiss.

it all depends on you being an estalished fighter rather than just a sparing buddy, if you are a professional then you need to give them a quote for the session, like someone said depending on who your spar's are if they are established fighters, its all down to the trainers and there stand on paying for sparring sessions, on the other hand it will help you develop other fighting skills against different fighters and thats worth more than money if you take the sport sderiouly, you obiously do as you are 5-0 keep up the good work brotha!
