Thread: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I have been watching him close lately. And beneath his amazing defense and lightning fast, precise offence there is something else. I increasingly see how he picks the perfect time to jump in land a few punches then either clinch at the perfect time or vanish out of range while his opponent tries to "find" him with counterpunches but he's gone already. Now I'm not good enough at analyzing to see exactly what's going on. What does Floyd wait for? What does he see when he jumps in? What triggers him to clinch or vanish? He does it better than any other boxers I've watched.

I believ its just experience - knowledge and judgement acquired from years of experience in both fighting and educated sparring.

I believe his time in boxing has allowed him not only a great understanding of his opponents actions, but also an acute awareness of his own capabilities and limitations.
This knowledge allows him to make quick decisions on the best course of action to take - fight or flight.

Hes basically been training since he was a baby.
