    Default Pacquiao hinting at retirement....

read an interview on Yahoosports and well Pac says he's done after this year,

“I will retire this year,” he said. “Maybe after Hatton, one more fight, and then that’s it. Win or lose.”

don't really see it happening if you ask me

i doubt either will really, with all the big fights available right now, i'm sure they'll stick around a while longer

When I saw the title of this thread, I was surprised to see that it wasn't started by Saddoboxer.

Hopefully Hatton will beat him up and his fans learn humility. And then Marquez can get him in a career send off and Marquez gets the result he deserves. And then bye bye Manny. That will be good enough for me.

manny will drop back down a weight or two after the hatton fight im convinced about that.

Hasnt established himself at 135 yet and there are plenty of decent challenges left for him in that division.

Hattons agenda is pretty clear, lose to pacquiao and he`ll have one final fairwell back home in england at 140 before calling it quits. Beat manny and it`ll just build up the possibility of a mayweather rematch

i say may the best fighter win, just hope that they don't try to make him out to be Ray Robinson's second coming

You know they cannot help themselves. Hatton has a decent shot at nipping it in the bud.

Come on... hammer, every fighter in this game wants a payday.... Hatton and Pacquiao alike. Why should Pacquiao establish himself at any weight when he can attract the biggest draw to earn the biggest paycheck bouncing around? I don't care what weight he fights at and I'm a Pacquiao fan. I just want to see the guy fight because his fights are exciting.

After this east/west thing, Pacquiao would meet Mosley (formerly Margarito) as long as he is biggest money draw and so would Hatton for that matter. If the buzz is about Marquez either of them will find a way to make that happen.

BTW:Speaking about Marquez, what you said makes sense for him because his draw didn't have "mega" in it. So he needed to establish himself to bring about the buzz. Now that he is established, he wasted no time trying to call out Mayweather. IMO you'll not see that fight happen.

Pacquiao already said after the Del La Hoya fight he would retire after two or three more fights. i.e. or another 10,20,30mil $$$, or whatever.

What probably makes more sense at this stage in Pacquiao's career, is his image rather than what weight class he is going to box in. I haven't a clue to what that means marketing wise but I'm sure people on his team do.

Whats with these fighters talking retirement or retiring after they start getting big? Manny P, Hatton, Mayweather walks away and Joe Calzaghe.
