Boxing In Australasia: Weekend Results

There were a few good cards this weekend in Australasia, with two decent shows Down Under and a bill in Japan.

The action last night took place at Rugby Park in Gisborne, New Zealand as Auckland's "Mountain Warrior", Shane Cameron, saw off his second straight American opponent, stopping Robert Davis, 32-10 (20), in the 11th round.

Its been reported over here that Cameron may have suffered a broken hand, which would put his June 6th fight with David Tua in jeopardy!

No broken bones in Shane Camerons hand!

There is concern over Shane Cameron's right hand, less than three months out from his heavyweight bout against David Tua in Hamilton.
The Mountain Warrior carried the injury into last week's homecoming bout in Gisborne and compounded the problem during the 11 round win.
An X-ray has not shown any bone damage, but Cameron will have an MRI scan today to assess the extent of the damage.
Cameron's manager Ken Reinsfield says they will not know the results of the MRI until next week. Reinsfield says then they will know whether or not Cameron's preparation for his June 6 fight with Tua is in jeopardy.
