Gotta give the man from Kent a punchers chance really.

I quite liked him and he can take a whack and dish it back out!

    Pretty exciting fighter i thought.

If Enzo managed it you'd have to give Afolabi a shot. Him sparking out another high profile cruiser would be a surprise though. He's more likely to get his shot and get outpointed by someone with half a brain in their head.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I agree. It's unfortunate as he has the natural toughness and instincts of a fighter which is rare. Seems a really classy guy as well from that interview, I hope he does well.

His style is awkward and he can take a punch,he will be a handfull for anyone but i feel a good boxer will outbox him.

Yeah because he is to one paced. Hes learnt the trciks from Toney in sparring but he has also adopted that lazy relaxed approach and poor workrate .

I think Enzo was really bad on Sat so it may have flattered Ola. Im very intereted to see his next fight . Hopefully its against a decent name so we can properly assess what he has got.

No doubt the skills are there and I like the way he slipped shots la Floyd Mayweather. His arogance gives him some personality we will remember him by and that KO was a peach so I think the future is bright for Ola.

Smash you know I got nothing but love for my UK people...

But seriously Ola did not do 1 single thing aside from the hugely telegraphed shot he landed that tells me he's world class/champ material.

For what it's worth I think Adamek, Jones & USS beat him.
I believe he'll fight the winner of Ramirez-Ismail which is for the WBO title.
As Ola picked up the Interim belt.

When Enzo boxed behind his jab he did ok .Its a good job Afolabi can take a shot cause he does'nt bother with defence.A decent boxer does that all night and takes a UD.

I'd love to see him in there against that guy who just won the Contender.

Troy Ross? Is that his name?

    Exactly.

He deserves credit for the win, but let's be honest, he lost almost every single round to Enzo.

Enzo basically beat himself by being exhausted and then walking right into a roundhouse right.

Disagree with you, I think he saw he could take Enzo's punches & that he could hurt him in the 3rd round, and then just waited for Enzo to punch himself out. When Ali did it to Foreman we labelled it genius. I think he got the gameplan and stuck to it. He does need to improve his jab & telegraph his punches a bit less though, but on the plus side he's got quick hands for a CW

Afolabi started off jabbing, not so much a hard jab but annoying enough to put you off, he also looked to work the body & figured this could get interesting as Enzo looked to stalk. Enzo for some reason chose not to work at range or off the jab, I do remember lots of arm punches. Maybe Ola talking to him put him off and drew him in to his kind of fight. Who knows. Also thought Enzo looked a bit tired considering the workrate wasn't that high.

Make the other guy fight your fight.

He lost a good 8 of the 9 rounds and found a magic punch that enzo couldnt recover from.

He has major issues with getting his hands wrapped on time

    He isnt even british

Well he certainly won round 3, where he almost KO'd Enzo, and to me looked to at least take round 8, as Enzo started to gas out. It was more than a lucky punch, it had looked to be coming. Give him credit for a good tactical performance.

He's hands took longer to get wrapped, because the guy who wraps his hands also does Khan's, and because Nicky Cook got KTFO early, they didn't have as long to do it. They're both trained by Roach, so they had to rush things more than they normally would.

As for him not being British, quite frankly WTF do you mean? He's as British as Enzo Mac.
