Default So, Eddie Chambers-Sam Peter on FNF this week

Not bad, I think Chambers schools him. Assuming he's in okay shape and can fight for 12 rounds. I don't know why but if you're talented, lazy and out of shape, I'm usually a fan, Toney, Guzman, Chambers, etc.

    Thoughts?

    interesting matchup

Chambers likes to mix it up on the inside every so often and peter will love that.

If Eddie has done a bit of chub he should be able to run rings around peter and at worst take a decision.

If he trys to fight samuel like he did with povetkin im gonna go with SP to win out on a brawl everyday of the week!!

I have a hard time imagining Chambers trying to trade with Peter. If my suspicions are correct it should be a lackluster watch, with Chambers poppin jabs once a minute and circling Peter in a fight with as
    little action as Holy/Valuev.

I hope I'm wrong and Peter gets something done in there, the only way something happens in this fight is if Peter gets to Chambers early, and
the only way that happens is if Chambers tries to prove something.

I like Chambers. I just don't think he will be able to handle Peter's power. I go with Peter by TKO within 9.

It's highly possible that chambers stinks up this one just as he did against povetkin. He looked the part in the beggining but for most of the fight used his "fast" hands to quickly put them up in front of his face to block shots not throw them. I don't know if povetkin was faster than he expected or hit harder than he expected but if was the power then peter will club him one time and the rest of the night i expect much of the same. Not running but not doing anything else either. Sucks too cause when chambers does fight he's kinds fun at least to me to watch. One thing that leads me to say chambers will win is that peter like always still can't box for crap and is easy to hit.

At first I thought of Chambers like a version of Chris Byrd but w/heavy mayo and a ponch. Now Im thinking him our current version of Tony Tubbs.Which is not totally terrible.Peter is coming off 100% ownage and is not exactly a study in fitness himself.Mentality and motivation may be his bigger obstacles.I think Chambers comes in right, and keeps it smart with fast hands for a descision win.

This is a must-win for Sam Peter. Kind of a crossroads fight.

Due to this semi-urgent situation, Peter will try his damnedest to get to Chambers early on. It won't be as dull as you think. I say Peter wins this on a 4th round KO. Though, he cannot box for scheisse, as 1 poster so correctly put it.

I like Peter in this match.

I think a lot of it comes down to how Chambers reacts to Peter's clubbing rabbit punches. If Eddie can take/avoid them he can win a decision.

I'm not sure that Peter is an inside fighter really, he throws those wide looping shots that need some room.

And Chambers I don't think will run, he doesn't really do that. He'll keep his hands up, try to block Sam's stuff and counter with jabs and right hands.

I don't think Chambers will stand there and just cover up although he has done that historically, that would be a losing recipe for him. He has to be aware of that.

Chambers is a smart fighter, though over relaxed at times. His hand speed generates good slashing power which tends to cut his oppoenets. Sam has been known to cut so this could be a factor.

Eddie also has a better corner. If his mind is right, I can see him jabbing and combo-ing his way to a UD, but if he can hurt Sam with a combo, he has a chance to finish him. Hell, McCline almost did.

Chamber's is incredibly underrated. He will beat Peter by decision or late stoppage.

Makes me like Chambers chances even more. I was aleady leaning toward picking him to win Now im definately going with it. Fat Peter will be outboxed and tire. Chambers still has to be on his A game though.
