Default Heavyweight Division a worthless joke

After watching Peters and Chambers engage in what was nothing more than a battle of jabs I just about had it! I will probably never watch another heavy " waste" fight again unless the next Tyson or Holyfeild come around. But that won't be anytime soon considering the morons we have in the top ten right now. I just about puked from watching this non sense.

tbh I thought it was a complete waste aswell, I live in England and stayed up till 4am for that fight although the result was what I predicted it was still a very dissapointing fight.
Unless it's Haye or one of the Kitschko brothers im not gonna bother tbh

It wasn't shown here (I dont think) and jumped on an online stream that a guy on here kindly gave me and watched the ESPN 2 coverage. I do stay up alot of weekends for boxing i'm quite used to the excitement of the middle weight classes though which made this one ever more dissapointing

The DIVISION isn't a "worthless joke" but that fight sure as hell was. The division needs HUNGRY fighters....Sam Peter and Eddie Chambers fought like they just finished a buffet (pun intended)

Its sad to think that just a couple of years ago, Sam Peter was considered to be the savior of the division by many. Its sad that after Chambers last two fights, he admits "I could have done more." And the other US prospect, Chris Arreolla, said he could have trained harder after his last fight.

What a snoozefest that fight was last night. Tried to watch it, and actually did fall asleep, no joke.

The heavyweight division is a bit pathetic. Sam Peter has certainly turned out to be a pile of rubbish, just doesn't seem to have the hunger. Except for the dinner table, that is. Sam Peter makes me realise that Toney is really done and should just give it a rest too.

I have no real interest in what happens amongst the HW's anymore. The fights will inevitably drive an insomniac to seek refuge in sleep.

I'm not a fan of Haye by a long shot, but at least he might add a little fun while he lasts.

I can't stand when guys say " I could have trained harder or could have done better" Well then train harder and do better don't make excuses! Boxing is a serious sport so why would you half ass on your preparation right? I dont get it!

This is why you never put all your eggs in one basket like King did with the heavyweights, all divisions go through cycles, right now heavy is dominated by the Europeans, while theyre technically good, are mind numbingly boring to watch, and until a Tyson or Ali comes along, dont expect that to change, those guys win fights, plodding along and being careful.

Sam Peter is now a stepping stone for younger fighters....if I was Alexander Dimitrenko or Cris Arreola I would consider fighting him and trying to KO him. Jameel McCline could even rematch Sam Peter and try to avenge his loss. Hell Dominick Guinn could try a shot at Sam Peter and try to get back in the mix.

Eddie Chambers is the new Chris Byrd....he's technically very skilled but he's not going to run the division anytime soon because of his size, lack of power, and output. Though I think the Prime Chris Byrd is a solid fighter, but he wasn't flashy and he wasn't an offensive fighter which you HAVE TO BE at heavyweight.

The division has depth, it really does but what it lacks is CONSISTENCY....Sam Peter could KO anyone a couple years ago and now it looks as if anybody could beat him.

The one positive thing that could come out of something like this is making Title Unification fights the only heavyweight fights in demand....David Haye isn't the saviour of the division either, he'll lose to both Wlad and Vitali.

Eddie Chambers is also the new Jimmy Young.
